Hell, just got out of the pool and was thinking of you guys.....
Clark Francis rated his top 65 players at the Vegas events.
I'll post the players of local interest
15) 6’6 Khalil Whitney from Roselle (Catholic) NJ (Mac Irvin Fire)
We give the nod to Whitney over Seattle Rotary’s Jaden McDaniel, as he was the more energetic and impactful player in their highly-charged matchup in the Las Vegas Classicquarterfinals. There was plenty of off-court activity in the game featuring referees, coaches, and fans, but Whitney remain locked in on the game despite a long stoppage and predictably played great down the stretch. He finished with 23 points in his team’s one-point win. We don’t often use “positionless monster”, but that’s the best way to describe Whitney’s game. He started off his week with 15 points vs. Dream Vision in the Las Vegas Fab 48 Tip-Off Challenge, went for 28 points vs. Oakland Soldiers in the Las Vegas Classic semifinals and closed out with 25 points vs. Cali Stars in the championship game.
