Jones averaged 16.7 points and 11.0 rebounds per game over The Hall's 3-0 week
Tiffany Jones is the first Pirate to earn BIG EAST Player of the Week this season

NEW YORK – Seton Hall women’s basketball forward Tiffany Jones (New York, N.Y.) has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday (Nov. 23). The weekly award is the first of the year for a Pirate and the first of Jones’ Seton Hall career.
The accolade for the senior comes after she helped the Pirates to a 3-0 week, with a 77-49 victory over Rutgers (Nov. 16), a 71-64 triumph over No. 24 Princeton (Nov. 19) and a 66-54 road victory at Saint Joseph’s (Nov. 21). Jones averaged 16.7 points and 11.0 rebounds per contest over the week, including a pair of double-doubles.
Against Rutgers on Nov. 16, Jones tied a career-high with 20 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for her first double-double of the year. After scoring 14 to help the Pirates knock off the ranked Tigers, Jones went for 16 points and tied a career-high with 14 rebounds at Saint Joseph’s. At SJU, she went 4-for-4 from 3-point range. Overall on the week Jones was 18-for-28 (64.3 percent) from the floor and 9-for-17 (52.9 percent) from 3-point range. She also added six steals and five blocks in three games.
Jones currently ranks second on The Hall and fifth in the Big East with 15.8 points per game this year and leads the Pirates and ranks third in the BIG EAST with 9.0 rebounds per contest. The Pirates return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 24 with an 8 p.m. (ET) showdown at UT-Arlington.
