I know his defense would be liability but we can surely use his offense at a 3 or a 4.

Not quick enough to defend threes, not big enough to guard four/fives.

I'd live with it if I could count on 12 or so points most nights. I still haven't seen anything that says I can.

I would say it's all about how he matches up against the opponents 3 and 4 but for sure he is not a 5 .

Tray Jackson is not a 5. He’s not even a 4. He’s a really tall 3. He has no business playing underneath the basket. In fact, I’d be ok if he did nothing else but hoist threes. Forcing him to play around the rim is like trying to fit a round peg in a square hole. I don’t know what Sha is going to do about the situation, but I think he might be better off playing Ndefo or Dre Davis down low in spurts than Tray. No Yetna and no other big is killer. The walk-on big man would actually be better suited. Give him some burn against some bigs and see what happens. Can’t be worse.

He was our most consistent perimeter shooter last season, needs to play to his strengths.
But that’s when other teams’ bigs were covering Samuel, Obiagu, Yetna and sometimes Rhoden.

Now Jackson will have other teams’ longer players guarding him. It could be tough
