Trove: Now Seton Hall has two incoming freshman that are interesting Isaiah Coleman and David Tubek. Coleman is a wing that was originally going to play at Charleston before decomitting and deciding on the Hall. Now Tubek committed to Memphis last year before opening it back up after being recruited over. How familiar are you with either player and how do you view their games as they move up to the collegiate level?
Rob: I haven’t really seen Coleman, but from what I’ve heard he seems like a good get and someone that fits in with how Sha wants to play.
Now Tubek is a dude that we really liked. He’s one of these guys, and I think this says a lot about him, he’s the dude that continued to get better and I think he's peaking at the right time. From the first time I ever saw him a year or so ago until right before he left Dream City, his game has grown exponentially. He’s a talented wing that has size that can do a lot. He really became a better shooter in the last six to eight months too. He's not going to shoot the lights out by any means, his bread and butter is playing above the rim, getting in the lane and using his size to absorb contact, but adding the jumper to his repertoire and being able to knock down open jumpers opens up where he can play.
Trove: You really don’t have to be a knockdown shooter early on in college, you just have to be able to keep defenders honest, so I think that bodes well for him early on, especially with the Hall lacking some front court depth. I think the fan base is really excited to see him in person.
Rob: You certainly don’t have to be Steph Curry when you’re 6’8 210 or whatever as long as they respect it and they should respect it because it has gotten a lot better. I view him as a guy that can contribute early on, especially if the front court isn’t particularly deep.
