............Anderson did receive interest from Arizona State, Alabama, Washington, Washington State, Dayton and Minnesota, but decided after his first and only visit that he had found the right program for him in South Orange.
During his official visit to Seton Hall Anderson was able to sit down with Patrick Hobbs, the dean of Seton Hall University School of Law, discussing his situation and the challenges he will face on the hardwood and in the classroom, noting that Hobbs was supportive and excited for his arrival.
Anderson, who was initially contacted by Associate Head Coach Shaheen Holloway, said that the law school situation was ideal for him and after playing well in scrimmages against the team and hearing the players hype the coaching staff he knew it was a perfect fit.
Anderson believes his biggest asset to the team next season will be on defense, both individually and help wise. He acknowledged that for the team to be successful he is going to have to be one of its best defenders. He also hopes that he will be able to help other front court players develop and improve their defense to create even more depth at the power positions when someone is having a down game or experiencing foul trouble.
“I have the high motor and energy needed to excel on defense, but I also have the understanding. I understand defense whether it be on the ball, in the post, fronting, pick and rolls, ball screens, whatever, I get it,”
