Been out there for a while that he was done after this season. In fact I thought it was announced already. Didn't really have the impact I thought he would this year, but would still get alot of PT next year at Providence. Minutes got cut into a tad, didn't start every game, and probably got ticked. Onto his 3rd school...
Why? Ben Bentil's pretty damn good and no slouch. Maybe Cooley saw the writing on the wall and figured he might as well go with a talented frosh over a kid who already has a foot out the door.
Bentil came on strong at the end of the year. He, Chukwu, Bullock, and Owens will be a load to handle in 2015-16. Plug in Lindsey backed up by Fazekas at the small forward position and the Friars will go six deep in the frontcourt.
As for Harris, he had an odd season. He would start some games but play few minutes, and come off the bench in other games and play starter's minutes. Inconsistent player who played a lot smaller than the 6-9 he's listed as.

Can we PLEASE fire this absolute ZERO of a coach if that happens? What ELSE needs to happen to make it plain as day that he is ruining everything here? Or is the thought process of the school now to wait till next spring to get a Hurley since they seem to both be off the table now? That at least would be a plan, something it doesn't outwardly appear that we have.
That's no good. Weird that he would make such absolute statements about "finishing up as a Pirate."
Tyler Harris did the Senior night thing, and basically said "we'll see" about next year, when asked about his remaining eligibility.
Without Gibbs, we're now short up front AND in the backcourt. Next year is going to be another unmitigated disaster.
The only plan right now is to find out where our AD has been hiding every since we got embarrassed by Marquette. Let me guess he will come out of hiding when the money for season tickets are due. Maybe give me some BS reason on why Willard's 6th year will be different. Rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat. rinse......
