Uconn wins with minimal scoring from Sanogo/Hawkins

Their frontcourt is insane, they are deep and can beat you multiple ways. Looks like Hurley's most talented team. KenPom has them ranked 10th in both Offense and Defense (6th Overall).

I'd probably take McDermott and his starting 5 but Hurley's depth is better.

UCONN top BE team. Questioned how good their guard play would be but so far looks solid. And Klingon looks like the biggest human I’ve ever seen. And he’s far from being a big stiff. He’s good and only a freshman.

So bottomline it didn’t take UCONN too long to rise directly to the top of the Big East again in terms of talent and program trajectory.

I remember when posters were saying their futility in the AAC was going to set them back to where they would still have to chase Seton Hall in the hierarchy of the conference once they joined.

Last two years they finished higher than us in the standings and beat us handily in the BET in 2022. However, we did split the past 4 regular games and they have struggled to get out of the first round as a higher seed both times.

Let’s hope we can hang with them this year and not allow the gap to widen.

His recruiting and portal management has been outstanding. Getting 10 guys to buy into reduced individual roles so he can play a deep roster has been impressive. I can see how other fan bases would hate the guy, but he’s definitely getting the job done at UConn.
Dan has always been a very charismatic and competitive person. Very in to the history and tradition of sports, strategic in everything he does. He wants to compete at the highest level of college basketball and has the resources at UConn to do so. He's able to use these traits to connect with his players, assistants and recruits and sell them all on their roles within the team goal and keep them motivated.

He's an excellent leader and well equipped to succeed in the new landscape of college basketball.
