Here's and interesting one...one of the local hospitals (NJ/PA) received a shipment of vaccines and when they opened up the boxes, 700 vials were empty. Seems highly doubtful that it wouldn't be caught before being shipped from the manufacturer. Is it just a one off or is a black market diversion already beginning to happen.

This is a really big story, and you have a line on the inside scoop. Were the vials "clean"? That would imply an error on the manufacturing side. Were the vials "used"? If this is the case, a black market diversion would be much more likely.

I'm sure you're working the Rolodex to get additional information on your exclusive. Please ask about the outer container. If the vaccine shipped under cold conditions, was the exterior box tampered with in any way? If not, could mean the theft occurred at the manufacturing site, or it could mean the shipper is diverting the vaccine and repackaging it.
Please let us know what is going on.

I signed up my in-laws through union county at Kean University and I had to register them with all of their info. That seemed to go well. Feel like their system would prevent sign ups if they were not eligible.
I also actually spoke with my father who received his first shot at the Livingston Mall. He said the experience was perfect. Him and my mother were in and out in 30 minutes and that includes the 15 minutes they had to wait to ensure there were no adverse reactions.
If you have a competent hospital system or county health bureau running the operation, it’s being run fine. Unfortunately that is not the case across the board.

get this, they even responded to a section that asked if it was for the 1st or 2nd dose. and they said 1st!! they asked!

This is indeed an interesting one. How does something like this happen? Has the Federal Government responded with an update from their investigation? Have the receiving procedures been modified so that empty cartons of vaccines are identified at the time of delivery? I know, so many questions, but if anyone has the ability to get to the bottom of this issue, it would be you.

Perhaps you have been unavoidably detained at your ENT appointment, or maybe this is another of your fantastically well timed "stories". I guess we'll never know.
