1. Wow what an absolutely embarrassing performance, after a week off and nothing changed, it might have gotten worse.
2. Willard - this is what i feared all summer. My major issue is that never once will he think outside the box. He lets other teams play their game and we have to adjust to them, never once do we make teams adjust to us. An awful coaching performance over the last month, he looks lost when Powell isnt carrying us.
3. Powell- not sure what has changed, but he looks unmotivated. Maybe it has to do with being blanketed all game, but I do think the ball needs to be in his hands more. We arent getting him looks with our screens.
4. McKnight - The othe fear from the summer. McKnight is not a point guard. He is a solid 2g, but he does not have the true pg skill. His passes are a few seconds slow and he misses the open player often. Also his passes are high or low and gets the shooter out of position delaying their shot.
5. I would have Powell run the point right now. The more the ball is in his hands the more likely he is to get out of this funk. Throw out a lineup like Powell, Cale, Rhoden, Sandro, Gill. See what happens, it cant get any worse. The only issue is we have a coach that refuses to think outside of the box.
