WATCH THE ASSIST | VOTE FOR ISAIAH NOW

CHICAGO - Intersport, producers of the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships, today announced that round three voting for the State Farm “Assist of the Year” competition is now open, and Seton Hall men’s basketball sophomore Isaiah Whitehead (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has been selected as a third-round nominee! He needs Pirates fans to vote for his Feb. 17 dish to Angel Delgado at Georgetown to have a chance to attend the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-point Championships to be honored.

Fans will determine if Whitehead becomes a finalist and should visit AssistoftheYear.com beginning Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m., Eastern to vote for his dazzling, no-look dish. Fans can vote daily and have until Monday, Feb. 29 at 12:59 p.m., Eastern to vote. Whitehead is competing against Butler’s Kellen Dunham, Rochester’s Sam Borst-Smith and Charlotte’s Laia Raventós.

The State Farm “Assist of the Year” contest is a digital media contest that will feature 16 top assist plays, over four rounds, with each round featuring four plays. The winner of each round will face off in a final round to determine the State Farm “Assist of the Year”. Fans can vote for their favorite players using an interactive bracket by entering the “Assist of the Year” web site. The student-athlete with the most votes in each round will move on to the final round.

Video highlight reels of each competitor on the web site will help fans determine their choice. The schedule for each voting round goes as follows:
  • Round One: Feb. 15-18
  • Round Two: Feb. 18-24
  • Round Three: Feb. 24-29
  • Round Four: Feb. 29-March 3
  • Finalists: March 4-9
  • Winner Announcement: March 10
The student-athlete who ultimately receives the most votes in the final round will be invited to attend the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships, an event featuring the best college dunkers and 3-point shooters in the country, held annually in the Final Four host city. The winning assist will be highlighted during the event, which will air live from Houston on ESPN during Final Four weekend at 9 p.m. ET on March 31.
