After an intense, tightly-fought preliminary session, Nikki Pawar found herself in the championship final and Amy Kugelman landed herself in the B-final. While the former could not improve her position against stiff BIG EAST competition, Kugelman took full advantage of her second chance. After sneaking into the B-final, she landed herself with a third-place finish in her final and a 10th place finish overall.

Like many a dual meet during the season, Allie Waggoner opened up the festivities for the Pirates. The experienced senior appeared locked-in and prepared before even stepping on the blocks. As soon as she hit the water, she produced pure domination. The South Jersey native led the race wire-to-wire, touching the wall with a time of 4:45.45, just short of her own school record.

Before finals even started, The Hall had already broken a program record in the 50 freestyle. Sophomore Naima Hazell's time of 23.07 in prelims broke teammate Lea Moeller's school record in the event. Now in finals as the fourth seed, Hazell had a chance to lower it even further. While she was unsuccessful, Hazell retained her fourth-place finish in the event. Alongside Hazell, Natalie Heim and Moeller raced in the B-final, with the latter coming out on top by a quarter-second.

The women closed the night with the 200 Free Relay, using a lineup comprised of Hazell, Moeller, Amelia Obszarny and Heim. While the Pirates were behind early, they clawed their way back into the race to finish with a time of 1:32.60 in fourth place. Despite that fourth-place finish, this quartet earned themselves a spot on the Seton Hall record wall. In a sport where every second matters, every hundredth-of-a-second mattered in this instance. The Pirates broke the school record by 0.06 seconds, thus cementing themselves in school history.

Heading into the third day of competition, the Pirates find themselves in fifth place with 333 points overall.

  3. Xavier – 368
