Walsh gym shoutout

For what it's worth I love Walsh. It is quirky as heck with the stage on one side and the offices on the other, but it is a great place to see a game.
I will be there Monday for first time in a while. Daughter plays exhibition game and watching the lady pirates. Looking forward to it.
Saw a lot of great concerts ‘64-68 there. B-ball games usually packed to capacity and great place to watch a game.
First game I saw there was freshmen year in 1988/89 season. Right after winning Great Alaska tournament. Recall thinking- Damn we look great. Ended up being a memorable season.
Sat next to a younger guy at the game yesterday who knew a lot about Hall bb history. (He could have been 50!) Told me his "friends uncle is Mel Knight."
Tried to impress upon him that although the BE jumped us to another stratosphere, those games against traditional major eastern independents at Walsh---- before it was "historic"--- were exciting and intense.
Just got back from Lady Pirates game. Walsh looked great. First time since upgrades. Plus, Pirates won an exciting overtime game over St. John’s. My daughter and I enjoyed it.
Nice win. I heard this is the first big east game they played where the home team won. 7 games all won by the road team before tonight. Not sure how often something like that happens.
