Why not a movie about SHU great Walter Dukes? The Express, a movie about Ernie Davis of Syracuse, is playing on the Starz / Encore Channels. According to historians, some of the overt racism shown towards Davis in the Express may have been fictionalized for dramatic effect. Based on the stories I read, the racism shown towards Dukes was real, particularly against Louisville. Poor Ernie died tragically young from Leukemia which makes the story of his life compelling. We have some pretty good writers on this Site who can take a crack at a Walter Dukes screenplay. Walter had a similar tragic ending albeit lived a much longer life. Any thoughts?
