Unfortunately public support for any reform is going to wane because of the lawlessness and attacks on innocent people. So yes, they are tied together. We are only going to make progress when both sets of bad actors are held accountable.

It's been a week of rioting. This cannot go on. It's time to use real physical force to quell these, people will get hurt, but what's the alternative let them loot and riot for infinite time?

Perception is reality, 8 days ago america saw how a police force handled one african american member of society again, unfortunately what we are seeing is an intense escalated response to that by many radical citizens which is spitting on the grave of george floyd

So isn't what Louisville did, the right thing to do? If you have a chief that's not addressing the issue, get a new chief and make the changes that you want to make. Leadership in these cities need to be accountable and if they are not, then the governor and state AG need to step in.
By the way, I heard an interview with the reporter today who said it was a very chaotic scene and law enforcement was able to respond quickly and go after the looters. She said it was handled very professionally.
