Go Wins Towson Invite; MGolf Third

GRASONVILLE, MD. -- Sophomore Lloyd Jefferson Go (Guadalupe Cebu City, Philippines) shot a 1-under-par, 70, in Sunday's final round to win the individual title of the 2015 Whiting-Turner Towson Invitational.
In the latest chapter of a sparkling start to a collegiate career, Go won his first individual tournament championship, overcoming a two-stroke deficit in the final 18 holes. The sophomore won the event with a 1-over-par, 73-71-143, for the tournament, one stroke ahead of Arkansas' Nicolas Echavarria. Go's win is the first individual title by a Seton Hall men's golfer since John Dawson Neufeld won the Rutgers Invitational on Sept. 11, 2010.
Collectively, Seton Hall shot 23 strokes better in round two to shoot up four spots in the standings to third place in the 23-team field. For the tournament, the Pirates were 45-over-par with a 318-295-613 finishing 24 strokes behind Arkansas for the team crown.
Ryan Snouffer (Sparta, N.J.) shaved three strokes off his first round score with a 4-over-par, 75, on Sunday. For the tournament, he finished in a tie for 17th place with an 11-over-par, 78-75-153.
JT Harper (Pebble Beach, Calif.) had the largest improvement from round one to round two. The senior improved 12 strokes, firing a 2-over-par, 73, on Sunday. Harper tied for 35th place with a 16-over-par, 85-73-158.
David Cha (Carrollton, Texas) improved six strokes, finishing Sunday's round with a 6-over-par, 77. The junior ended the event with an 18-over-par, 83-77-160.
Cory Wilson (Newton, N.J.) also was six strokes better in the second round. He finished the event with a 20-over-par, 84-78-162.
Competing as an individual, sophomore Kevin O'Brien (Wexford, Pa.) tied for 38th place with a 17-over-par, 82-77-159.
In all 23 teams competed at the par-71, 6,530-yard Prospect Bay Country Club. In addition to Seton Hall and two teams from host Towson, participating schools included: Arkansas, Colgate, Fairfield, Fairleigh Dickinson, Hofstra, IUP, IUPUI, Long Island, Navy, Penn, Robert Morris, Rutgers, Sacred Heart, Siena, St. Bonaventure, Saint Peters, UMass-Lowell, UMES, Washington & Lee and William & Mary.
Seton Hall will return to the links on Monday April 6 for the first and second rounds of the Redhawk Invitational in University Place, Wash.
