Billy Garret flopped after his game-ending three. No way did Gordon foul him. When are they going to penalize floppers?
It's not about DePaul it's about SH we're far too predictable and teams know exactly how to beat us . We win when we play sound man to man defense , hit our free throws, control the boards , limit our three-point shooting and pound the ball inside.
If we have tournament dreams we need to have a bid locked up before the last game of the year, lol.
We will NEVER have the DePaul monkey off our back until we beat them in Chicago and Newark in the same year.
The fact that we have struggled with that team and three of DePaul's starters were a part of that success over us, emboldens a desperate team. But it just seems like the luck factor for us seems off when we play the blue demons.
Tough competitors in what's turning into the Big East of old. And I mean the Big East of the 80's. Scrappy, lunch pail.

Btw Gordon clearly fouled Garrett on the 3. Terrible decision combined with 4 missed fts at the end. Lucky to win this game.
I thought Garrett leaned nicely into the foul at the end shooting the 3. He's a very smart player, and drew two charges earlier. The first was legit, but the second was a good flop. He sells it well. Officials know he plays the game smartly, and respect him, I think. That gets him a call now and then. One of my favorite players in the league.
Yeah he did. Even Gordon said as much after the game. Called it a freshmen mistake on his part.
Stood up as a man in the presser taking the blame for how he failed the team down the stretch.
Very refreshing for a player to stand up in front of the media and do what he did.
