It seems that the gentleman that got choked by the cop died from High Blood pressure, heart disease and drug use.

That may be the official cause of death but the actions of that asshole cop remains inexcusable. I wonder how the coroner’s report is going to play out at his trial.

Can’t see how it will matter, because all of the video available is so damning. I’m guessing the body cam is going to be even worse looking

The Report can create reasonable doubt under the criminal burden of proof.

Yeah I get that, but do you think that is why they went for the murder to charge? Depraved indifference? Plus, we haven’t seen the entire autopsy report. Then again, I’m not an attorney.

A friend of mine's dadgot mugged, slugged in the head. It loosened an aneurysm that killed him. Guess he died if natural causes huh.

I’m an attorney, but not a criminal attorney. However, the law recognizes that you are responsible for murder if your victim had pre-existing conditions that made him more vulnerable for death such as an eggshell skull. There’s also felony murder which punishes criminal acts committed during a felony such as aggravated assault.

I hope that scumbag cop fries. However, a good criminal attorney will use any evidence that may create a reasonable doubt such as a favorable coroners report.

I thought murder 2 is depraved indifference, his charge is murder 3

I stand corrected. I think murder 3 (the charge) is manslaughter. Probably important to level a charge that will stick. Once they get more information and evidence they can always move the charge up to murder 2.

Exactly, this is reasonable doubt, and the cop will get off, and hopefully the places around town haven't rebuilt by then, as they are going to get a fresh new torching come that day. Not good times at all. The folks that are angry don't care about legal techniques that will cause him to get off.
