What do you feel about Texas?

They are calling for the National guard for help. I’m sure the leadership in Washington will figure out a way to help. I work with folks in Houston and know first hand the situation is pretty bad. They are experiencing my biggest fear losing electricity during cold weather. After 15 days without electric during Sandy I now have a generator and of course no outages since my purchase. Not complaining.

This is why you should never want government run healthcare.

We should celebrating the end of global warming.

Blown away that Texas is not connected to other states on the grid, so they cannot borrow power from other states.

Guess they do want secession.

Government leadership....you don’t want it, if private industry can do it.

That really doesn't make any sense in the context of what is happening in Texas. It is all private industry.
More government regulation could have, for example, required that these facilities be prepared for extreme weather events... but then people would be complaining about the burdensome big bad government forcing them to waste money on something that doesn't happen in Texas... until it does.

When the usa sends politicians to cancun to vacation, they dont send their best, they send ted cruz

No it does make sense. Who is responsible for legislation to protect their citizens? This is exactly what government SHOULD BE doing.

You're for more government regulation? Ok good. We are on the same page then.

I’ve always been for government oversight and appropriate regulation. I just don’t want them to be in businesses that are more effectively run by private industry.

How’s that solution for healthcare coming.....bahahaha....
I am currently dealing with a significant condition that will need an operation. When i cross all the final bridges in recovery i plan to address this.

Sure, right. But you can post freely on other topics....

When message board posters tell you who they are the first time believe them...shame on you for slighting my current health and wellness...healthcare/health coverage is more than a 4 line post...i aim to really dive deep into this upon my current health scenario being taken care of.

Sounds like you’re in bad shape. That’s unfortunate and I wish you well.

But even with that this post is laughable from someone who tells us all that he is non partisan but only posts from the perspective of one side.

I was asking your opinion well before this health issue. And I wasn’t asking for a term paper. No shame here. It’s a shame if you are using that as an excuse just to dodge answering a simple question.

i believe this is exactly what happened. Texas went ahead against clear guidance to make their infrastructure disaster compliant

I think he's just about worthless as a poster ;-)
However, I wish him well and pray he has a speedy and full recovery. Then he can return to the board with a full critique of the medical system as an informed consumer. Be well, Shoreguy!

back to texas LOL at ted cruz for being called out and bullied back. hes done his fair share of calling out other states during crisis. hypocrit.

wonder if texas changes their mind on some elected officials

Bad optics but I don't see what a US senator can do to fix the problem Texas faced. A US senator's job is to represent the interests of his or her state in the Senate, not to fix problems on the ground in real time like a governor or emergency management can do.

I’d generally agree except for how he has gone after politicians for similar things... but it’s not like anyone would care where he was if he just stayed home.

Cruz thing still a headline with basically all MSM outlets
If Trump were Biden (and they acted the same) headlines would be Trump hasn’t visited and it took three+ days to get FEMA relief

What Cruz did was a disgrace and his explanation of being a good dad was even worse. But since you bring up the MSM, the reactions on the Twitter to Chris Cuomo calling out people in Texas is hilarious.

Cruz leaving his dog behind is worse than him leaving. TBH, this pales in comparison to his no vote on Sandy relief meanwhile a few years later he is requesting federal money relief when Texas got hit with a hurricaine.
