I think have to go 4-2 the rest of the way to get an NCAA bid.......got to beat Georgetown and Providence because Butler and X are very tough to beat

I think 4-2 is required if we don't beat X. Beat X and we could get away with losing to Gtown, Prov, and Butler. We'd be absolutely biting our nails on selection Sunday. Realistic plan is to win 2 out of 3 between Butler, Gtown and Providence, and then win over St. Johns and Depaul.

I think if we are a tournament team we should be able to get it done in the last 6. No implosions please.

We can win them all and lose them all. We show up this Saturday thinking we can sail and SJU might Syracuse us. I say we learned the lesson of lack of toughness and intensity (...) and will bring it for every game from now on.

I chose 4-2. Here's hoping.

Sweep this week (at Georgetown, at St. John's)
Win 1 of next 3 (home against Providence and Xavier, at Butler)
Win at DePaul in the regular season finale

Team finishes 21-9, 11-7 and firmly in the field heading into what - hopefully - is a deep and exciting run at MSG.

We need to go 4-2... GTown, StJ, X/Prov/BU & DePaul.

Finish 21-9 (11-7) and most likely 3rd or 4th place.

Get a bye day at MSG.

I think we're in based on that alone... Now if we win a game at MSG that's even better.

I'm not so sure about the Gtown game but I'm pretty confident we will be able to beat St John's, PC and Depaul

Went with 4-2, but that's with a W tomorrow, which I'm on the fence about. I think we may need to get to 4-2 and to do so winning tomorrow is a borderline must-win.

Gtown - W
SJU - W
Prov - W
X - L
Butler - L
Depaul - W

Losing to Depaul to close the season would be damning. Yes, they can be dangerous (though they've been swept by most teams in the league). The loss would hurt because it shows we haven't grown and improved. If you are disciplined and don't let Depaul turn it into a playground scuffle, they are an easy team to beat.

Depaul loses because they have limited strengths and obvious weaknesses. They turn the ball over a lot. They aren't a good defensive team (getting carved up, poor fundamentals). They foul a lot. They rebound well, so if you can limit their ability to rebound you should be able to run away with it. They've been swept by Creighton, Butler, and Georgetown this season. I think the reason we fear them so much is because our past teams don't come out with the discipline or will to beat them. If we can't beat Depaul, we probably don't deserve to go to the tournament.

Many experts here totally assume everything is within our grasp. Many teams ahead of us will lose and continue to lose. We need to just keep winning as many games as we can. Don't think for a moment that we are an island . There are teams that are in the major conferences that play such a difficult schedule that they will not make the Dance. however, the bottom line is WIN.

Last Saturday, There were at least 11teams in the Top 25 that lost. This is how it goes this time of the year in college BB. It is not restricted to SHU hoops. Just Win!

I hope 3 and 3. Should put us in good shape to dance assuming we win at least 1 at BET. Anything less and I think we'll be on the outside looking in.

It's funny how complicated things get when you are on the bubble. I would say it depends on what three.

St. Johns and Depaul should be part of the three. Then you have no bad losses. The most desirable third would X, and then Prov. Either one would be a top 50 win. Butler and Gtown are not great (but still good) RPI wins right now. Butler would be nice just to split with them for our resume. I think 3-3 is fine if we beat X or Prov. Otherwise I still think we might be on the out looking in.

Best thing to do is to win at least 4 and then sit comfortably on Selection Sunday.

Once all the dust settles and the brackets are unveiled, it's also going to be very important for Big East teams to advance a bit this year. Multiple teams past the first weekend.

Villanova and Xavier can play with anyone in the country and I think Providence, Seton Hall, and Butler could give teams fits. Tournament is all about match-ups.

We can debate the validity of judging a conference on the NCAA's until we're blue in the face. It's an important thing for brand recognition and perception. In the first two tournaments since the new league's creation, only one team has gotten passed the first weekend. NG.
