We are lucky to have Whitehead. Hope all the players are back next season.

Bless him.

I don't understand how some people doubt this kid.

He's got a full package of on the court and off the court gifts.

All he needs is a good college coach to mold and develop him.

It's like sending your bright kid to college, and he's sitting by himself with a text book, a black board and no professor.

What kind of growth do you expect happens in that case?

Hope all These kids learn from he mistakes this year and come firing on all cylinders next season. I'm going to try to be optimistic even with the notion of Willard being back.

He gave his all with his defense ..watched him for a ball down by 20.
His shots will fall next year and become a GREAT player for Seton Hall.

Isaiah, I admire you for coming back from a very difficult injury. You showed mental and physical toughness.

I believe in you and your teammates. Stick together, work hard in the off-season and get ready to step it up.

If you make the NIT, please go all out and use the tournament as a way to regroup and to get better as a TEAM. Many teams have used the NIT as a step towards a bigger goal.

Go Pirates!

Love the positive vibe, we all know IW is a Hall guy and without a doubt looking forward to a great 2014-2015 year at Seton Hall !!

From SO Juice:

Whitehead : @SOrangeJuice: On next year: "We don't need to work on anything. It's just our energy, start to finish, our energy."

Um, no, it's WAY more than that.

He may have played hard this season but he sure as hell didn't play well.

lucky to have him? before you guys start lining up to wash his jock strap, you should know that it was him and his entourage of thugs that drove Sina to leave the team.

Whitehead coming back was the beginning of the end for this team, its not a coincidence.

In his defense, that's probably what he's been told by his head coach.

How sad is your life?

Boatshu, the above is just not true. Seton Hall started losing well before Whitehead came back. They lost 5 of 6 after the Villanova game without him. To blame Whitehead is just wrong. The blame lies on the shoulders of the coach.

Maybe Sina is just a quitter like his old man. He wanted to quit last year too.

This is honestly disgusting. No wonder we never get high-rated recruits, who would want to subject themselves to this? Isaiah Whitehead a kid you have probably never met in your life and his friends are "thugs" but yet they did not quit the team in the middle of the season or throw a punch. I have nothing against Gibbs or Sina either, this is all on the coach, how anyone cannot recognize that is beyond me.

People throwing stones at Whitehead have no idea. How many coaches are turning down the services of an All Amrican?

That would be zero. Our coach is awful and cannot manage a roster.

the blame 100% lies on the coach. Its his responsibility to manage the locker room. I have been one of the biggest whitehead fans but tonight I found out from a very very good source what happened with Sina. Disgusting stuff and shame on Willard for allowing it.

So disgusting nobody has had the cajones to say what it is.

Its all rumors and heresay.

But shu mike will keep throwing stones at Sina. Maybe he quit major minutes in the Big East for no reason. Yeah, likely.

Plenty, plenty of blame to go around for this disastrous season. Ultimately, it all funnels through Willard, who should be accountable as the head coach, but there are a number of individuals who sent this train careening off the tracks.

Remember (and this is something to keep in mind in general terms, and not applied to any one person): Stop making the mistake of conflating athletic ability and talent with high character. There is no necessary correlation. There are end of the bench players who are bad influences, and All-Americans who are also great men. And there are also their opposites. Again, this isn't pointed at anyone in particular, but our culture tends to lionize great athletes, and construct baseless scenarios that also depict them as humans of the highest caliber, when one does not necessarily follow the other.

This team has problems. I think a change in leadership would go a long way toward correcting that, but that's just the first step.

Isaiah, hang in there. As tough as this year was for the fans, we sometimes forget that the players are the ones going thru it day after day.....and I know none of you likes losing.

Work hard at getting better......BUT, most important off season assignment has to be.....work hard at being a TEAM. Whatever that takes, we do not, and will not have a bench of McD AAs; we need to work cohesively....selflessly...SMART....tenacious......gritty....with an in your face, never relenting attitude. Hopefully we can find this over the summer.

The fans are very frustrated right now (imagine this.....you experience what you just experienced....except for, oh say 10 plus years now....yeah, THAT kind of frustration!,) but we are fans. Much like we have to give you guys some slack (we were young, after all) give us some too. Know that....like the sad puppy who sees a treat dangled in front of him, automatically wags his tail, and his eyes light up....so will the fans spirits and support, when that "treat" is good, old fashioned, solid basketball.

We truly are all rooting for you guys....so learn something from this tough experience....and vow not to repeat it. Which means...doing something different....

Good luck....we are happy to have you as part of the SHU family.....this is a journey, not a short walk (ok...so that is not so poetic....but, you get the point!).

Sadly, SPK, if this is what they think....all we need is energy...we are doomed.

Dont they watch film? Can they not see the difference between them, and say.....anyone else?

Energy? Heck, I could go out on that floor with a ton of energy......and get my a** handed to me!

Energy without smart effort, talent, skills and teamwork is.......wasted....at best. Selfish at worst

+1

This kid is a dreamer. Sad to say anyone that thinks that we have the core ingredients for a good team next year is also dreaming. We're mediocre at best.

Obviously you've never played competitive sports. It's up to the upper classmen!
