Willard-Carrington-Xavier- Thoughts

1. Kudos to coach Willard and his staff on popping the conference double digit cherry. Keep the foot on the gas pedal.

2. Carrington - Love this kid. The elbow jumper vs St. John's, the layup and 3 pointer to open the second half really set the tone. The quiet assassin.

3. Xavier- I hope our bigs play physical right from the opening tip. Huge game, hopefully our guys can feed off of the fans. I honestly believe we will beat them and give them the old cincinnati bow tie.

4. Coach Willard will lock up COY if we beat Xavier. IMHO he deserves it rom where we were picked pre-season to the position we are in now.

5. Excellent job by coach Holloway!! I've been told by many how great he is in regards to guard development and the amount of stuff he does behind the scenes. I guess that's why he's the associate head coach.

6. Derrick Gordon - I believe he is the MVP and the glue that holds everything together!

7. The great thing I think everyone can agree on is that it is still February and there is still a ton of basketball to be played!!!!

5. Sha is one of my all time favorites Pirates and nothing makes me happier than to see him get some success.

I hope Willard wins COY but it's going to be hard to beat Wright/Mack. We haven't cracked the top 25 & both of them have top 5 teams

I hope the players are pumped. Even more so I hope the team prepares some good strategies based on their last match up. Have to frustrate their guards, as well as win the rebounding war.
