Glad none of my grandchildren live in CA.Delaying algebra 1 till freshmen year will eliminate possibility of taking Calculus in senior year.This is an attempt to help students who need help ( read never take Calculus) by holding back better students.Progressives turning Democratic Party into a shit show.Rather than applaud student achievement let’s go to an Alice In Wonderland education system where all must win and get prizes.China eating our lunch and years from now when people realize this is crazy dems will say oh I didn’t know this was wrong and the normal common sense people will say we had to suffer while you rode the PC wagon to ruin.Wake up America the socialists progressives including American teachers Union are ruining this country.How anyone with common sense and a room temperature or higher IQ can’t see this is hard to understand.

do most seniors even take calculus? i do t remember very well, but i thought algebra as a freshman was normal.

The average student does not need to calculus, but they should offer the opportunity for those who want to take it.

That was my point all three of my grandsons took it their senior year and it helped them in college.
