A shout out to his play. Where are the fans who questioned his play and wanted Posh Alexander here instead .
Never really wanted Posh, but was critical of his early play. Too many drives with his head down and no realistic chance of finding the backboard much less the basket. Silly turnovers dribbling off his knee, bad passes. A lot to question on him early.A shout out to his play. Where are the fans who questioned his play and wanted Posh Alexander here instead .

Posted on another thread he is getting 5.5rpg. That is big for us.His rebounding has been essential
If you know me I'm not drawing anything . Always thought he was a good complimentary player for us and a perfect Sha type of player . It's just that some fans just don't give a player , coach and team time to jell . To give undo criticisms or accolades 1,2 3 games into a season is not fair. We got a long way to go and there will be many more highs and lows. Go PIRATES !!!!!I'm a fan of him and agree with your sentiments, but generally these kinds of post are the worst imo (no disrespect intended). Players will have a horrible stretch of games, finally put out a good performance, and it inevitably will draw out a "where are those complaining fans now" kind of posts? Then, the next bad game Dylan has will draw out the "see, i told you" from other people. It's just lame.
I wish everyone would just enjoy the performance, hope we continue to see more, and let go of the need to try and "show" other fans.
Come on. His double double at PC was trading poor plays for good ones. Is it an even trade?i cant tell if he's good or bad. trades great plays for terrible plays. but hes tough as nails and thats always a good thing.
turnovers happen is not the way to describe wusu and dawes. pretty much every turnover is unforcedCome on. His double double at PC was trading poor plays for good ones. Is it an even trade?
He is tireless. He rebounds. He makes things happen. He is shooting well. Kept us in game in first ten minutes with his 3 and drives.
Turnovers happen. We have to take chances on offense. The pass Khadary made to EHE for a lay up yesterday, is not made without risk.
Dawes was ridiculously good yesterday, has been closing games against good teams, and half the posts on here start with, "he had some turnovers, but he scored 17 points in the first half".
Maddening
It has started. We just beat thr top two teams in the conference. When do we forget about the NJIT scrimmage.Fair point, but this is revisionist history. I agree that I should probably hold judgment until BE season starts, but we have almost at least six weeks preceding that, and there was very little in the OOC schedule about which to feel optimistic.
This. Their defensive strategy is built on deflections and turnovers.Another narrative about yesterday's game that is false.
We had alot of turnovers against Marquette.
Guess what - everybody does.
It is what Marquette does.
Some may be truly unforced and others appear unforced.
Just like our defense since Missouri ( well maybe not xavier), we have imposed our defensive will on these teams. Marquette does the same with the focus on turnovers.
I wish the negative posts were commensurate with the bad play.I'm a fan of him and agree with your sentiments, but generally these kinds of post are the worst imo (no disrespect intended). Story goes Pitino gave Posh a chance to possibly return and he blew off a workout. So bye bye.I would have liked to have them both. Wonder why Pitino soured on them, or if they weren't enamored with the new coach. Recall Soriano said he would not return if Anderson was fired. See how that turned out.
Yea he’s a guy you might see one game and think he’s “x” and another and think he’s “y”. Fans generally tend to appreciate guys like you describe more when they are on your team and you watch them a lot.Never thought he was much of a threat when he was on St. Johns so I was ambivalent when he transferred here. Clearly, I was wrong about his value and happy to say so. He does a lot of things that don't show up in the box score. And like most of the team, he is buying in to what Sha is preaching. The only open question I have is does he have a Covid year of eligibility next year?

If you read the play by play in the first half, this sequence epitomizes exactly what you get from Dyan, Starting at 3:03 left he stole to ball from Kolek, then as he drove to the basket turned the ball over. BUT immediately stole it back and went up for the shot and was fouled. Making the two FTs. That's what I love about this kid. In 22 seconds had had 2 steals a TO, forced a foul on the defender and made both FTs. I'll take that 100% of any game. Here’s the thing with Wusu. For every bad play he makes. He turns around and gets you that hustle play or big shot
Hea not alone on this one, but infuriating how often we are Throwing bounce passes to our 6’10 big man’s knees.
