Xavier 1st Half: The Good, Bad, and Ugly

Good: After years of implosions, the team is battling toe-to-toe with the best teams in the Big East. This team refuses to get down and stay down. All we want is a team to root for, and this is that team.

Bad: Young team making silly mistakes. At least 3 possessions in the first half where we gave the ball away due to lazy passes, ball handling. Xavier is not playing like that over-aggressive defender in a pick-up game. We need to adjust.

Ugly: Our shooting from the FT line and perimeter. IW needs to figure out a way to be more effective when his perimeter shots are not falling.

All in all, looking forward to the second half. Minus Creighton, there has not been a game where I wanted to turn off my TV.

Lets pull this one out and posture ourselves for the Dance.

You keep drinking the kool aid. That's bullshit to keep making excuses about this being a young team midway thru their 2nd year.....how about a coaching staff not having done their jobs preparing the team over the past 2 years. Not having all the pieces to be successful i.e. a quality point guard to run the show. There is alot wrong with SHU basketball.
