Xavier Game = Pitt Game 2004

Seems like 2004- Seton Hall bubble team looking for a signature win plays a Feb home game against a top five team.

SHU got it done in double overtime against number #4 Pitt in 2004. Nice win on the way to tourney 8 seed and first round win v Arizona. I remember Billmeier had a nice game against the Pitt bigs. Maybe he can give some words of inspiration for this weekend. Beat Providence and they can come out loose v Xavier.

That was the best SH home game I've been to. A great memory. The Villanova game this year would have topped it if we pulled that off. The Rock was jumping that night. Hopefully Sunday makes a new greatest memory.

I was there as well and a tremendous game. Billmeier carried us early by hitting a bunch of shots from outside the blocks against Chris Taft. If I remember correctly it was Monday night after we throttled Rutgers the previous Saturday night. There was a quick turnaround.

We had some battles with Pitt in that era.

That game was nuts too; had like 15k as Rutgers was relevant. Probably the largest crowd at the Meadowlands since PJ.
