Richmond’s first choice after Transferring from the Cuse was SJU. Another Mike Anderson mistake. And that was at a time when a few influential donors were at odds with the former school President and his vision for the basketball program.

Don’t underestimate Talik Brown’s and especially Van Macon’s pull here, along with Repole’s checkbook

But I believe that is only for declaring to transfer. You can sign with a school well beyond that time.

So a player can even enter the portal and come back to the current program he’s in.

It almost seems that every single college starter and significant bench player will enter the portal in a few years just to gauge interest and check market value.

The only downside could be that there might not be a roster spot for them on their current team if they eventually choose to return.
