  • Winners of three straight, Seton Hall will face DePaul in its penultimate home game this season at 8:30 p.m. on FS1.
  • A win would give Seton Hall its second season series sweep this week after topping Marquette for the second time this year, 57-51, on Sunday.
  • Seton Hall is currently in third place in the BIG EAST with a 9-5 record and has now won at least nine conference games for the sixth straight season.
  • The Pirates’ three game winning streak is tied for the longest active streak in the BIG EAST with Creighton.
  • Including this year, Seton Hall is 26-15 in the month of February over the last five seasons.

  • Senior Sandro Mamukelashvili (Tbilisi, Georgia) ranks second in the conference in scoring (17.6ppg), ninth in rebounding (7.2 rpg) and 14th in assists (3.2 apg).
  • Mamukelashvili is 21 points shy from becoming the 45th 1,000-point scorer in program history.
  • Junior Jared Rhoden (Baldwin, N.Y.) ranks in the top 15 in the BIG EAST in scoring (t-10th, 14.5 ppg), rebounding (12th, 6.6), free throw percentage (3rd, 84.8) and minutes (8th, 33.8 mpg).
  • The Hall is 4-0 in games where Rhoden is the team’s leading scorer.
  • Junior Ike Obiagu (Abuja, Nigeria) ranks ninth in the country with 54 total blocked shots and ranks 12th with 2.7 blocks per game.

  • Seton Hall leads the all-time series with DePaul, 19-8, and has won nine of the last 11 meetings.
  • In BIG EAST regular season games, the Pirates are 16-7 all-time against the Blue Demons.
  • Each of the last six years has resulted in one team sweeping the regular season series (Seton Hall 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020 and DePaul 2015, 2019).
  • Myles Cale is averaging 12.0 points in five career starts against DePaul.


  • While the narrative among outsiders has been that Seton Hall struggles with free throws, the numbers show how the Pirates rank among the top teams in the conference in that area.
  • They currently rank second in the BIG EAST in free throw shooting at 75.8 percent (first among teams that have played at least 17 games), and five of the team’s returners from last season are all shooting a higher percentage this season than their career average.
  • Seton Hall ranks in the top 35 nationally and leads the BIG EAST in both free throw attempts (33rd, 429) and free throws made (14th, 325).
  • Since 2015-16, The Pirates are 93-15 (.861) in games where they have more FT attempts than their opponents.
  • Four Pirates own free throw shooting percentages at 75 percent or higher; Shavar Reynolds, Jr. (88.6), Jared Rhoden (85.5), Myles Cale (77.6) and Sandro Mamukelashvili (76.9).
  • Senior Bryce Aiken (Randolph, N.J.) is a perfect 23-of-23 from the charity stripe this season.
  • Currently, the most marked improvement belongs to Myles Cale, who at 77.6 percent is shooting more than 20 percent better at the line than he did last season and more than 12 percent better than his career average.
  • Big man Ike Obiagu is shooting at a 60.4 percent clip from the line after shooting just 31.6 percent from the stripe as a freshman at Florida State.


  • Through 20 games in his senior season, Sandro Mamukelashvili is living up to the preseason accolades and expectations bestowed upon him.
  • “Mamu”, as he’s affectionately known, was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST first team and watch lists for the Naismith Trophy and the Karl Malone Award in the preseason.
  • On Jan. 28, he was named one of the final 10 candidates for the Karl Malone Award, given to the nation’s top collegiate power forward.
  • On Feb. 11, Mamukelashvili was named to Naismith Trophy Midseason Team, joining only 30 other players.
  • The Georgian is one of only eight players in the Power Six conferences to register multiple 30-point games this season.
  • Mamukelashvili is one of only two players in the BIG EAST that rank in the top 15 in scoring (2nd, 17.6 PPG), rebounding (9th, 7.2 RPG) and assists (14th, 3.2 APG).
  • Following a 2-0 week for the Pirates where he averaged 21.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals, Mamukelashvili was named BIG EAST Player of the Week for the second time this season.
  • Mamukelashvili is one of 13 Pirates to win multiple BIG EAST Player of the Week awards and only the sixth to do it in the same season:

  • Mamukelashvili finished with a game-high 22 points and was 10-for-12 from the free throw line in the Pirates’ first win at either of UConn’s two home venues since 1997.
  • Mamukelashvili did a little bit of everything in The Hall’s bounce-back win at Providence on Feb. 4 when he scored a game-high 20 points to go along with seven rebounds, three assists and two steals.
  • At No. 3 Villanova on Jan. 19, he finished one rebound shy of a double-double in a night where he posted nine boards, 23 points and five assists.
  • Mamukelashvili picked up BIG EAST Player of the Week honors, his fourth conference accolade of the season, on Jan. 4 after leading the Pirates with 18 points, seven rebounds and three steals in the win at Xavier (Dec. 30) and had game highs of 24 points, nine rebounds and six assists in the win over Butler (Jan. 2).
  • He was named to the BIG EAST’s Weekly Honor Roll for the third consecutive week on Dec. 21 after averaging 18.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists in two conference games.
  • Mamukelashvili been getting it done in the assist column this season as he dished out a career-high seven assists in the Pirates’ gritty 70-63 road victory at Marquette on Dec. 17 and six dimes against Providence.
  • St. John’s didn’t have an answer for Mamukelashvili on Dec. 11 when he scored a career-high 32 points on 12-of-18 shooting from the floor and pulled down nine rebounds
  • In the comeback win at Penn State on Dec. 6, Mamukelashvili dropped 30 points – 22 of which came in the second half – to go along with five rebounds and four assists.
  • Mamukelashvili is Seton Hall’s first power forward/center to register multiple 30-point performances in a season since Arturas Karnisovas in 1993-94.


  • Jared Rhoden is contributing in multiple areas for the Pirates this season and is picking up where he left off late last season.
  • He currently ranks in the top 15 in the BIG EAST in scoring (9th, 14.8 points per game), rebounding (12th, 6.7 rpg), free throw percentage (3rd, 85.5), steals (14th, 1.2 spg) and minutes (8th, 34.0 mpg).
  • On Feb. 15, he was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after recording a game-high 20 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals in the win against Marquette (Feb. 14).
  • He put up 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting with four rebounds and four assists at No. 3 Villanova on Jan. 19.
  • After averaging 14 points and four boards while the leading the Pirates with 18 points in the win over DePaul on Jan. 9, Rhoden was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
  • Rhoden was first named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Dec. 28 after posting his third double-double of the season on 26 points and 12 boards in the win over Georgetown (12/23).
  • Rhoden registered his second double-double of the season and the fourth of his career with game-highs of 22 points and 11 rebounds in the victory over Wagner on Dec. 8.
  • He was two boards shy of a double-double in the comeback win at Penn State where he grabbed eight rebounds, put up 15 points and chipped in three assists and two steals.
  • Rhoden erupted with a career-high 26 points to go along with 10 rebounds against the Gaels, his first double-double of the season.
