With the NET and other predictive measures mattering as much as they do, how would you ideally go about scheduling?

My most important consideration is getting in the tournament with the best seed possible. So, maybe a MTE, Rutgers, bottom feeders outside of the BE season?

You have no control over mte or the big 12 series, judging from this season it will be a struggle for shu...they had to play mizzou away but neutral site

I thought the scheduling was fine in terms of what they needed to do, to pair that with a successful BE regular season.

They just crapped the bed and didn’t win much, while at the same time the opponents they lost to, did not do well themselves.

You become a fan of the teams you play in the nonconference throughout the rest of the year. Missouri, USC, and Rutgers turned out to be really bad.

All legit thoughts, but, all things considered, a better performance vs John's[and a W], and we would have been in.

Let's be honest-that was a bad performance yesterday afternoon-and this was about the 3rd-5th time this season that Seton was schooled vs a team they had schooled earlier this yr-shame on them

Hindsight is 20/20, but there are opportunities for Q1/Q2 games that don’t involve traveling half-way or fully across the country. Case in point: if we agreed to a neutral site gamer or a home and home with Princeton and played them at Jadwin or in Trenton this year like RU did, that would have been a Q1 opportunity.

Well Rutgers lost that game to Princeton to open the year.

And a game at Jadwin would be no easy task vs a team that probably doesn’t have as much NIL turnover early in the season compared to us.

Without question, it could easily have been a loss. On the other hand, Princeton has not played a Q1 game all year. They didn’t lose at home but they were 2-3 in Q2 games.

In the end though, we ended up traveling thousands of miles to play at Baylor, USC and Iowa in San Diego, and a down Missouri in Kansas City. I’d rather play Princeton 40 miles from campus for the opportunity for a win that would have helped our resume significantly more than the Missouri win did. If we had scheduled the game and pulled that win out, we would not be talking about Dayton and bubble watching this weekend.
