Another early 20-point lead. Man we should have made the tournament

might have been a good thing to go into selection Sunday having had 20 point leads in a bunch of recent games. Instead we were down 20 in 3 of the last 5 games going into selection Sunday.

We definitely took our foot off the gas in the second half, which let Georgia make it a little interesting into the last 10 minutes. We had Georgia looking defeated when we were up 24 but a few lazy possessions in a row let them find their footing instead of pushing it into blowout territory.

With the Pac-12 disbanding, they might have to rename the Big East the "Conference of Champions" if UConn and SH bring home titles. Xavier won the NIT in 2022 and of course a UConn win would be the league's fourth national title in the last eight tournaments.

We played great opening minutes but the rest was uninspired. Bad d. How many layups did we give up. Thought jaden, kadary and dylan underperformed. Dre brough it all game. Dawes' start was huge. That was a thoroughly enjoyable game. Very nice to see the effort that our players are still bringing to the court. Looking forward to the Championship game on Thursday. Go Pirates!
