Game 1: Seton Hall 6, Drexel 0
How it Happened
Carr got into a groove early, needing just 18 pitches to set down the first six batters of the game. The offense got clicking in the third, as
Olivia Gilbert (Johnston, R.I.) sent one over the wall in center field for her sixth home run of the season.
Carr finished the fourth to set down the first 12 batters she faced on the afternoon. In the bottom half,
Katey Brennan (Yardley, Pa.) extended the lead to 2-0 after an RBI single to center.
Erin Howard (Skillman, N.J.) doubled the lead with a two-run single to right, followed by another RBI single from
Andrea Perez (Corona, Calif.) to make it a 5-0 lead. Next inning,

Carr entered the seventh just three outs away from a perfect game. The first batter of the inning hit a high popup that looked destined to drop in for the first hit of the game. Perez ranged out from shortstop and made a miraculous over-the-shoulder catch to preserve the no-hitter.
