I’d guess that the insurance the arena has (this type of risk is usually in the excess and surplus lines) requires them to prevent spectators from entering the arena floor. They storm the court someone gets hurt they of course sue the arena for inadequate security.

Why storm the court against a team we beat at home last year?

I love it when we don't storm the court. We are not some mid major that never beat a top 10 team. I had to laugh when media outlets were noting our last win against a top 5 school was kinda recently.

It looks so rinky dink when you storm the court.

pru does suck in this way, but i never liked the look of storming the court vs a conference opponent unless youre a perennial bottom feeder.

Are you paying the fine the school incurs from the Big East when the court gets stormed?

As I understand that is typical conference policy. I know other conferences, like the SEC, fine schools when that happens.
