SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Junior Hanna Tulli (Collegeville, Pa.) had a team-high nine kills, but the Seton Hall women's volleyball team fell to No. 15 Creighton, 3-0 (17-25, 18-25, 21-25), despite a spirited effort on Senior Night.

Creighton showed why it's one of the premier offensive programs in the country, collecting 57 kills and a .465 attack percentage without allowing the Pirates to record a single block.

Still, the Pirates played well against the Bluejays, spurred perhaps by the emotion of a pregame Senior Night ceremony that honored Bianca Bucciarelli (Carate Brianza, Italy), Taylor Jakubowski (Lake in the Hills, Ill.), Perri Lucas (Chicago, Ill.), Madeline Matheny (Wilmington, Del.) and Laila Wallace (Munster, Ind.). Seton Hall's .263 attack percentage was its highest of the year in a loss.

Tulli had nine kills, only one attack error and a .533 attack percentage. Freshman Rylee Nelson (Mazeppa, Minn.) had a team-high 10 digs to go with three assist and two aces.

SET 1:
The Pirates never led in the opening set, despite hitting .333. Leading 11-10, Creighton went on a 9-1 run to take a commanding 20-11 advantage. The Hall cut its deficit to 23-16, but ultimately fell in the opener, 25-17. Bucciarelli had three kills in the opening set. The Pirates as a whole had nine kills and only one attack error, but Creighton proved to be too much.

SET 2:
There were nine ties in the second set, but Creighton pulled away late. With the score knotted at 13, the Bluejays went on a 6-1 run to grab a 19-14 advantage. A kill by Maddie Klungel (Napa, Calif.) brought The Hall to within three, 19-16, but the Bluejays closed out the set with a 6-2 run. Tulli had six kills and no attack errors in the second set alone.

SET 3:
The Hall pushed Creighton in the third set, but in the end, the result was the same. After nine ties and three lead changes, the Bluejays took control late. With the score tied at 20, Creighton scored three straight. A kill by Maddy Loiselle (Danville, Calif.) cut The Hall's deficit to 23-21, but the Bluejays got the final two points to win, 25-21.
