The Hall will play seven opponents that made the NCAA Tournament or WNIT last season.
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall women's basketball team released its official 2023-24 non-conference schedule on Tuesday. The slate features 11 opponents, including seven that appeared in either the NCAA Tournament or WNIT last year, and seven games in historic Walsh Gymnasium.

Season ticket renewals and sales are available now! Those interested in renewing can do so online or by calling the Seton Hall Ticket Office at 973-275-HALL (4255). New season tickets are only $70 and can be purchased by calling as well.

Seton Hall will open the 2023-24 campaign against Iona on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at Walsh Gymnasium. The Pirates have never lost to the Gaels in 15 all-time meetings. Their last meeting was an 89-37 victory in New Rochelle on Dec. 8, 2019. Iona is coming off a magical 2022-23 season that featured a 26-7 final record, MAAC regular season and tournament titles and an NCAA Tournament berth.

Later that week, The Hall will look to avenge a home loss to Columbia last year when they face the Lions on Friday, Nov. 10 in Levien Gym. It's the third year in a row that the Pirates and Lions will square off. The Hall edged Columbia in an epic clash in the WNIT National Quarterfinals in 2022, but the Lions got their revenge with an 83-76 victory in Walsh Gym last season. Columbia is coming off a fantastic season, which featured a 28-6 final record and a march to the National Championship of the WNIT.

On Sunday, Nov. 12, The Hall will face Bryant for only the second time in program history. The Pirates walloped the Bulldogs, 93-57, in their prior meeting on Nov. 13, 2015 in Walsh Gym. Bryant is coming off a 9-21 season in 2022-23 and a first-round exit in the America East Tournament.

Three days later, Seton Hall will renew its long rivalry with fellow New Jersey foe, Rutgers. The Pirates will host the Scarlet Knights on Wednesday, Nov. 15 in Walsh Gym. The Scarlet Knights have won 16 of the last 19 meetings, but the Pirates made a statement with a 75-57 victory in Piscataway last season. Rutgers went on to finish the season with a 12-20 record overall and defeated Northwestern in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament before falling to Illinois in the second.

Seton Hall will next travel to the pristine turquoise waters of the Bahamas for a pair of games at the Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship. Hosted by Baha Mar Resort in Nassau, the Pirates will play USC on Monday, Nov. 20, and East Carolina on Wednesday, Nov. 22. USC is coming off a 21-10 season and received an at large bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Hall is 0-3 all-time against the Trojans with their last meeting coming on Nov. 25, 2021 at the Cancun Challenge.

East Carolina is also coming off a title year with a 23-10 final record, an American Athletic Conference tournament championship and an NCAA Tournament berth. The Hall is 1-0 all-time in the battle of the Pirates with a 75-51 victory in Walsh Gym on Dec. 1, 1996.

Upon their return to the States, the Pirates will make the short trip to perennial national power Princeton on Wednesday, Nov. 29. Seton Hall is 13-8 all-time against the Tigers, but was tripped up last season in Walsh Gym, falling 62-58. The prior year, however, the Pirates snapped Princeton's 21-game home win streak. Last season, Princeton went on to finish with a 24-6 record and defeated seven-seeded NC State in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

Seton Hall will return home to Walsh Gym on Saturday, Dec. 2 to face a new foe, Maryland-Eastern Shore. The Hawks are coming off a 10-20 season in 2022-23, but upset second-seeded Morgan State in the opening round of the MEAC Tournament. Their season came to an end in the second round when they were edged by Howard University.

The Pirates will welcome Central Connecticut State to Walsh Gym on Friday, Dec. 8. It will be the fourth time meeting the Blue Devils with Seton Hall having won the prior three meetings. Most recently, The Hall won, 78-70, on Nov. 26, 2016. The Blue Devils are coming off a 7-22 season and an NEC quarterfinal exit at the hands of top-seeded Fairleigh Dickinson.

Three days later, the Pirates will face the aforementioned Knights in Walsh Gym on Monday, Dec. 11. The Hall owns a 14-2 all-time record against FDU and has won five straight in the series. Most recently, Seton Hall defeated the Knights, 67-45, in the opening round of the 2022 WNIT. Fairleigh Dickinson is coming off a strong season, which featured a 24-8 final record, a regular season NEC title and a WNIT berth.

Finally, Seton Hall will close out the non-conference portion of their schedule with national-power UNLV in Walsh Gym on Saturday, Dec. 16. The Lady Rebels finished the 2022-23 season with a 31-3 record and stormed into the NCAA Tournament with a 22-game win streak and a Mountain West Tournament championship. UNLV, however, saw its streak come to an end in the first round with a 71-59 loss to six-seeded Michigan.

The new-look Pirates feature nine newcomers, including six talented transfers and three true freshmen. Returning to lead The Hall is Team USA 3x3 star, Azana Baines (Blackwood, N.J.) who emerged as one of the premier players in the BIG EAST last season. Sha'Lynn Hagans (Manassas, Va.), Shailyn Pinkney (East Hartford, Conn.), Kae Satterfield (New York, N.Y.) and Amari Wright (Jacksonville, Fla.) are four additional impact returnees.
