Has anyone seen them play? Seems like maybe people watched their game with BC?

They’re 65th in OE, 85th in DE, 305th in tempo. They’re just 298th in defensive rebound % and 338th in defensive FTA:FGA (bodes well for us). Average at best across the board in other areas, including bench minutes, and don’t seem to rely on the 3-ball despite somehow beating Creighton by 15 in December in a game they shot 10/22 from 3 and 22/39 from 2PT.

Went 12-6 in the much-loved MWC.

Took care of Princeton at Jadwin and Boston College at home to get to South Orange.

Need to jump them with our physical in your face D. Something they don't see in the finesse west cost conferences.
You could see from the opening tap against North Texas they were not expecting this intense physical D

Loosing with our 5 senior starters would be nothing short of an embarrassment. This is a game we should win by 10

Just in March, UNLV has beaten San Diego State and Princeton, and also lost one in OT to SDSU. They also beat NCAA tourney teams in New Mexico and Colorado State (insert MWC joke here). They lost by one to Utah State and by two to Saint Mary's. Oh, and they beat Creighton by 15 in December.

If we take them lightly, we'll lose. Our margin of error just isn't wide enough to be dismissive of them.

UNLV is better than a few of those that did get in. They screwed themselves with 3 Q4 losses early in thr year, but they can play.
wouldnt be surprised by that at all. its not about who you beat, it's about did you avoid losing that one Q4 game in november or keep all your losses close

UNLV has talent but they under achieved in OOC. They did beat Princeton, but also think Princeton was a bit of a NET ratings darling.

We need to capitalize on our home court advantage, and not take then lightly.

Funny! Scarlet Dave, you won’t find tix on any site because they are all pick up at will call on game day.

Yeah, beating Creighton was weak.

Agreed. That team overachieved. UNLV was undefeated when we played them. Two years later we had our most talented team ever. Disappointing ending in second round of dance though.

The most underrated Seton Hall team was that 1991 team. Ran into a juggernaut in UNLV. The bench included Caver, Leahy, Hurley and Mimms and a big guy named Luther Wright who saw some minutes.
Remember that tournament well. Just our luck. Juggernaut UNLV played their "A" game vs us. They were not terrific the next game vs Duke and lost a close one. LJ only had 13 pts. Always thought if they played that way vs us we would have won and could have beat Duke or Kansas.

I've said this forever...one of the most underrated Pirates on that excellent team was Ollie Taylor. One of the very best transfers we ever had.
