Spadea has 1M listeners and killed Ciattarelli on a daily basis last time around. It was a great chance to unseat Phil Murphy, who had famously said, paraphrasing, that if taxes are an issue for NJ voters, that they should probably find another place to live. I believe that the day-in, day-out hammering of Ciattarelli cost him the election, which was closer than it should have been. Of course, Jack losing only helped Spadea for his planned run in 2025.
I listen to Spadea most mornings, and he is smart and has some merit as a candidate, but he's largely self-serving and if he became Governor, I'm sure he'd quickly adapt to life feeding from the public trough, as his predecessor, Jim Gearhart, used to say.
