Shinola X Seton Hall X Onward Setonia

Sorry I misspoke. I meant homecoming weekend or family weekend. That was always the time we watched the team, met them, and received our awesome paper season tickets. The fact the players won't be on campus is ridiculous. Why not charge 25 to see tht scrimmage? Now we don't get to see them until we pay ridiculous fees that most families won't pay for and we get shitty online tickets that my parents can't even figure out. My kids won't experience something I enjoyed because now it's all about the money. We have less home games, online tickets, no scrimmage, less interaction, and an NIL situation where loyalty is a thing of the past. Damn...it's sad what we have lost.

PAC 12 aims to supplant the Big East as a basketball power.

The Pac-12 is banking on Gonzaga improving its basketball product as it goes to market. The conference is aiming to solidify itself as the top multi-bid conference outside the power structure with eyes on supplanting the Big East as a power. The conference projects six of its members as Quad 1 programs. The new programs could land the Pac-12 an average of five teams in the NCAA Tournament each year, according to previous regular-season results.

Good luck with that. :D
"Basketball media rights are expected to rise in the near future. The Big 12 is considering selling its football and basketball packages as separate television deals in 2030. Commissioner Brett Yormark believes the conference has positioned itself into consideration as the strongest basketball product in the country after 70% of its members reached the NCAA men's basketball tournament last season."

I read this and thought...."Did the Big East jump too soon into a new deal?"

Not saying it is so.....just throwing it out there, seeing as the last thing the league can do is to miss out on a bigger payday

Great version of Dancing Queen

thats just school shootings. still waiting on that one time your scenario comes true.

lets just switch to normal mass shootings, like the deadliest one in the US ever. 60 people from long range.

forget that tho, as long as you can still pretend that your fantasy could be lived out one day!! duhh.!!
You’re not stopping one school shooting with getting rid of assault rifles because that same person who wants to do it will show up with a hand gun at a school. If you think deranged people will say they took away assault rifles, can’t do it…you’re pretty naive.

You make it sound like 400 mass shootings were done by AR15s. Most are done by hand guns.

the extremely rare possibility of your house being attacked by a bunch of people with enough time to access and load the AR15 (remember nj folks your ammo has to be in seperate storage) completely trumps the very real 400+ mass school shootings duhhhh open your eyes libs!!

Darius Adams to UConn

His approach seems to focus on a mix of transfers and prep kids, either immediate impact as well as kids he can retain and develop.

But when you have the pedigree that him and a few other BE coaches do, I think it’s probably easier to retain kids or get them to buy into roles.
Think about Samson Johnson. Hurley said he had to re-recruit him annually. But now he'll likely be the starter on the team.

Darius Adams to UConn

CL82, can you provide any insight to how Hurley handles NIL with recruits and what your approximate budget is? He's excellent at getting all players to embrace their roles within the team construct and obviously a great recruiter.

Wondering how much he offers recruits or if he uses some type of incentive system tied to team and individual accomplishments.
I cannot. That stuff is pretty much a trade secret. I do know that he tells them that the only thing that is guaranteed is the opportunity to compete.

VP Debate

I thought Norah was pretty good. Margaret Brennan was her typical biased self.
It's wild that these things have now turned into 3 v 1 exercises. Maybe once we are finally rid of freaking Trump things will return to normal. This was at least one step in the right direction with the conduct of the two candidates, their willingness to actually agreeing to what the other said at times and the like.

Debates don't move the needle, really, unless it is a Biden disaster like back in June. VP debates even less than Presidential debates.

Walz had his moments, but he was really nervous at the beginning, and his lack of taking interviews and questions basically since he was named VP definitely showed IMO. Whereas Vance does this stuff all the time, and routinely goes into biased interviews and unfavorable waters. It showed.

For those who think Vance is some kind of dummy...I'll never get that, but it's the world we live in I suppose.
