P Diddy

I think more will come out about Diddy just like it did with Epstein. Both are scumbags and hosted lots of big names and both had handlers scoping out women to take advantage of. Truly sick stuff.
This doesn’t end well for Diddy as he does not seem capable of spending a long time in jail and it’s already started with no bail. Take you life or start bringing down others to save your own neck (and run the risk of a hit).

North Carolina

I just mean people have their own expectations of what each term would look like which is why there are so few undecided voters.

In my opinion though...

With Trump we will get the same person that was in office the first time but less constrained by those around him. He will be more vindictive and he will seek to implement loyalists throughout the government. My view of Harris is that she won't be much different than Biden but I don't think she pushes anything too bold during her term since she would be thinking of her reelection chances.

I think both will extend the current tax laws with an increased child tax credit, and both will pass in immigration bill similar to the one Lankford authored.
I disagree. Only Trump knows what he’s going to do. It’ll be like another reality show when you really never know the plot. I see the vindictive piece as a talking point the media has made up. He could’ve gone after Hillary in the first term and never did. Where was he vindictive in his first term? You can make the case that Democrats went after him nonstop and haven’t let up.

I have no idea what Harris will project as a president. She has zero leadership skills, and in capable of projecting any position. People like that, don’t make decisions and live in a world of paralysis.

Carino Annual Q&A with Holloway

The main takeaway from that interview, in my opinion, is that the team was not really able to practice as a team over the summer due to injuries and players finishing up academics at their previous school. Last year it was similar and we subsequently struggled in the non-conference.

Unless something amazing happens, we're on course to get off to a slow start. Hope I am wrong.

North Carolina

Do we really know what we are getting from either Trump or Harris?

Agreed. I don't think we'll see a large swing from here unless something really crazy happens.
I think people know what they are getting with Trump or Harris at this point.
Like I said earlier, I agree that I don’t anticipate any swing. Do we really know what we are getting from either Trump or Harris? That’s what scares me.
The VP debate probably won't have much of an impact. I think liberals likely haven't seen much from JD other than the clips were he performs poorly. I think he is a little more polished for a debate setting and should overperform so maybe a little more upside for Trump/Vance but probably also won't move the needle much overall either.
Nobody cares about the VP. Either one of them can fall flat on their face and it’s not going to impact the polls.

resize

South Orange, N.J. - The No. 8 ranked Seton Hall men's soccer looks to rebound from its first loss of the season when Lehigh travels to Owen T. Carroll Field Tuesday at 6:56 p.m. This is the final game of non-conference play for the Pirates this season.

The game will be broadcast on the Pirate Sports Network via FloSports, which requires a subscription. A discounted subscription is available through this link.

This is the 6th all-time meeting between the two teams, the most recent of which occurred in 2019.

SERIES HISTORY
  • Seton Hall and Lehigh last met on September 14, 2019, in an early-season affair. The Pirates and Mountain Hawks played a scoreless first half in which Eden O'Leary and Vittorio Argeri were unable to convert their first half goal chances. In the 50th minute, Lehigh's Josh Luchini blasted a rebounding corner kick past the goalkeeper to put the Mountain Hawks up 1-0. The Pirates only had one shot on goal the remaining 40 minutes, ending the match in a 1-0 loss.
  • This is the 6th meeting between the two programs, the first of which came in 1996.
  • Seton Hall is 2-3-0 all-time against Lehigh, with a 1-2-0 record in their last three meetings.
PIRATES OPEN BIG EAST PLAY WITH LOSS
  • On Friday, the Pirates visited Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium to play Providence in the first game of BIG EAST play for the season. The Pirates fell shorts in the match, losing 1-0.
  • In the 71st minute, a Jared Smith (Longmeadow, Mass.) service into the box nearly found its way into the goal off of a streaking Pirate's head, but Friars' goalie saved the equalizing opportunity.
  • In the 84th minute, Jack Kossoudji drew a penalty kick after being fouled in the penalty box. Virgil Dall'Agnol (Grenoble, France) took to the spot for the attempt, but the conversion was not successful.
  • Seton Hall is now 14-19-7 all-time against Providence.
PIRATES RANKED INSIDE TOP 10
  • Seton Hall is ranked No. 8 in the nation in the Sept. 17 United Soccer Coaches top-25, up five spots from their ranking a week prior. Their ranking is the highest they have held during a non-abbreviated season since the 2002 season when they received the No. 6 spot in the September 2, 2002 poll.
  • In head coach Andreas Lindberg's tenure, Seton Hall appeared in the United Soccer Coaches top-25 seven times during the 2020 season, reaching as high as No. 6. Then Seton Hall spent four weeks in the national rankings during 2021.
  • The Pirates are one of two BIG EAST teams in the current top-25, joining No. 25 University of Connecticut.
KOSSOUDJI & KAUSCHKE HONORED BY BIG EAST
  • Jack Kossoudji, a graduate transfer from Capital University, was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week. Kossoudji began the week by assisting on what proved to be the game-winning goal, in Seton Hall's 3-1 road win at Rutgers. Against Harvard, Kossoudji logged an assist and scored the game-winning goal in The Hall's 3-2 victory over the Crimson.
  • Til Kauschke, freshman midfielder from Hamburg, Germany, was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for the second time this season. Early in the week, Kauschke provided an assist in The Hall's 3-1 victory over Rutgers. He followed that up with second goal of the season in the team's 3-2 win over Harvard.
SHARING THE WEALTH
  • Seton Hall has shown outstanding depth so far through six matches:
    • Nine different players have scored a goal
    • Nine different players have assisted on a goal
    • 14 different players have put a shot on goal
    • Both goalkeepers who have played have recorded a clean sheet
    • Six different players have earned a BIG EAST weekly honor

Utah St. accepts invite to become 7th member of rebuilding Pac-12

Pete Thamel, ESPN

Utah State has accepted an invitation to join the Pac-12 and become the newly formatted conference's seventh member, sources told ESPN on Monday night.

The move comes amid a dizzying day of realignment that saw the Pac-12's interest in a handful of AAC schools get rebuffed, the Mountain West expected to retain a commitment from key member Air Force and UNLV's decision become uncertain after its commitment to the MWC earlier in the day was not formalized.

Utah State's reported acceptance would make it the fifth school from the Mountain West to join Oregon State and Washington State in the rebuilding Pac-12. Utah State would join Boise State, Fresno State, San Diego State and Colorado State, who have announced they are going to the league.

Utah State has a solid football program, having won a Mountain West championship in 2021. Utah State has reached 11 bowl games since 2011 and has 16 bowl appearances in its history. It has been in the Mountain West since 2013.

Utah State also is an accomplished basketball school, as it has 24 men's NCAA tournament appearances in its history. That includes appearances in four of the past five tournaments. (Those four took place over six years, and the Aggies were 26-8 in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic canceled the tournament.)

Utah State emerged as a candidate late in a hectic day in which the Pac-12 attempted to secure its future.

The departure from the Mountain West leaves that league with seven schools, which means it will need to make one addition to remain an official conference.

ESPN's Kyle Bonagura contributed to this report.

North Carolina

Trump had an awful debate and a horrendous August/September and the numbers only moved slightly. Another debate or Harris interview will change very little probably nothing. We all saw Biden is a walking corpse; we all see Trump listens to no one but himself; we all see Harris is an empty suit puppet. Biden would still be the candidate if he didn’t self destruct on camera…that’s what it takes these days.

Agreed. I don't think we'll see a large swing from here unless something really crazy happens.

Another Professional team at Pru Center

Who is funding this league? You could probably play a game after an afternoon hockey game. They probably don’t get more than a few dozen fans so not much clean up after their game. Only takes a couple hours to change over from hockey to BB.
Believe team had lowest attendance in PWHL last season, but they played in several arena last season across CT/NY/NJ, only played two at Pru Center. At least one game at Pru had over 5000 fans. So was some interest, but over a whole season doubt they draw that well.

Either way, doubt has much impact on SHU schedule if they return next season, as SHU schedule already set for this season.
