I’m sorry, but McCabe in my view deserved no respect in how he was treated.

You asked for an example where Trump acted vindictively. I gave you one. Now you just agree with the vindictiveness so it doesn't count?
ok... I guess you're right that Trump acting vindictively is not something you need to worry about because you will just make excuses for it anyway.

Shinola X Seton Hall X Onward Setonia

I hope they succeed but as I posted before they have to come up with better ideas to raise money. Still do not understand why they cannot have an open practice or inter squad scrimmage for X amount. I would think they would get a great turnout .
I feel like we have answered this question multiple times already. It is an NCAA violation to charge people money to watch the team practice or play another team and give it to NIL. You can have a separate autograph session after, you can have a luncheon, a basketball clinic etc but you cannot charge people to watch them play and call it NIL.

Just wait until hoopers stop playing midseason

And now, even if they are hurt, people will wonder if they really had general soreness. I am sure many of us wondered about that one.

And if commitments are made, they need to be signed and on file. And players need recourse if they are not fulfilled as promised.
Some of us here posted continuously about all the fake “injuries”. Only to be spoken down to here. If you really think 20 year olds have general soreness or a bad shoulder or back tightness you are sorely mistaken.

As soon as your team is out of the NCAA pictures loads of players will either stop playing or fake an injury. They have no loyalty to the coach or school, therefore they won’t care who it pisses off as they’re only interested in their next pay day.

Who Didn't See This Coming

The "representations" Sluka references are not specified, and who knows if anything was actually signed, such as a contract, but it seems like if UNLV reneged, then he's got some standing to do this. It's definitely a strange new world, but the players' leverage doesn't mean much if they don't use or enforce it.

No, who knows? "Representations" could mean they promised him a good duel blocking/receiving tight end and none materialized. In that case, that's like any other player who takes a leap of faith that his team will follow through on its promise to improve (hello, Mike Trout!), but if a sum of money was promised and not delivered, then good for him.

I think we're quickly headed toward much more standardized, publicly known contracts. That's the only way to avoid this crap.

I get what it means. It means you’re unwilling to consider vindictive behavior when you believe a firing was justified.

Again, if McCabe should have been fired is not the debate. Him being fired outside of guidelines just so he would lose his pension eligibility is. And it’s not like I need to wonder if Trump was thinking about the timing because he tweeted about it months earlier!

You put yourself in a corner by saying Trump wasn’t vindictive while in office and are not stuck on defending that position rather than just acknowledging that this one is a pretty clear example where he was.
