The so-so performance got criticized from some of the small universe that populates this message board. That isn't exactly a broad, far-reaching audience. Beyond that, no one else had a clue. It certainly wasn't something the media seized on or would ever seize on.

I really don't get the downside of doing something like this for the fans in an open and public way, and I think "hiding" behind a closed/secret scrimmage where you can then have "x" staff member feed people like Dan what you want and spin a narrative is weak sauce. If a team has a bad preseason scrimmage, who cares? It isn't going to damn the season or anything, and with our program most if not all the local media isn't going to even notice, forget about the average fans or diehards like us who are going to follow and show up regardless. The only one I ever remember going "viral" was when Cuse lost to a D-II or D-III school many moons ago, and I believe the Cuse went on to have an excellent season that year. I would gladly make that trade.

We know who Jimmy is cause he was pres. He was not a good president. He was still a very good man while he was pres I bet. He just didnt do a great good. That has to be a large part of his story.

My point is, one of them, or maybe both asked if CC won three NCs. And frankly, I have had enough of his one lol. I am sure Taurasi's college totals are not close to CC. And that is as meaningless as the NCs CC has won in terms of how good each player is.

Yeah, again not sure what you're working yourself up over. Both Taurasi and Auriemna have been nothing but complementary regarding Clark.

(Lol, and I'm pretty sure Taurasi isn't the person you want to ask "have you scored more points than me?" since she is the WNBA all-time point scorer by a wide margin.)

Excelletn question. In truth, Taurasi has been quite open and friendly to her.

IIRC there was an autograph session last year with our team promoted by OS during SHU weekend.

Rutgers is in a little different situation than us this year in that people who come want to see Dylan and Ace at least just as much as they would come to see the team, so while they won’t have trouble selling tickets this year they are in a unique opportunity to generate buzz through these events.

Wow, very sorry to hear about both of these. Mutombo seemed like a fun, loving guy who didn't take himself excessively seriously. Loved his signature finger wag, and loved him laughing about it in what I think was a Geico commercial.

Kristofferson was one of the great story telling singers.

What Tarausi said was that she expected to need time to adjust to playing at the WNBA level, but that she was "a great player" and she would figure it out.

Somehow calling Clark a great player wasn't sufficient for her cult following. It's weird.

Based upon the stats, it looked like both teams lived up to their ranking. We were able to be competitive, as one would expect, but the Hall seemed like it was the better team, especially as the game dragged on.

That said, it's still goes into the record books as a tie.

The eye poke that Fishjam posted was 100% intentional and she should have been suspended.

Clark has an acerbic personality and that does turn off opponents, especially as she is the new girl on campus. I think that more than the fact that she is white has been an issue. There are many other high quality white girls who have played in the league that haven't gone through what Clark has this season.

I understand it is not NIL but again you still can have autograph signing etc. after the game for NIL they also can promote ticket sales. Hate to say it but ru is doing a good job with NIL and promoting the team. Back at the Hall we are stagnant .
