Agree . Games are won on court not pre-season predictions or on paper..I am certainly no pollyanna but I don't share the doom and gloom sentiments I'm seeing here. Sha's demonstarted an ability to get his teams to rise well above the sum of their parts. So despite the injury situation I am cautiously optimistic that this will turn out to be an NCAA bubble squad. I just have faith in Sha.
So you believe what you want to see. Maybe others still think he is the outsider and think it’s worse now four years later. And I was partial to that view in 2016 - I bought into the "he's a businessman not a career politician" line but that ship has sailed. He's done nothing to fix the system, he's just become part of it and if anything it's worse now than it's ever been. The only people who can't see it are the ones who don't want to.

Merge I remember you saying for certain it was transitory
Nice fearmongering but that is not what is happening in the US. We have short term inflation as a result of the pandemic, supply chain issues and people having more money to spend. Inflation is expected to decline in 2022.
Again day one cancelling the Keystone pipeline deal and then approving the Russian pipeline to Germany helped cause inflation.
Give Biden some credit for making decisions that help escalate inflation.

It is interesting that the surrogates that are out there pushing each candidate. Politiciaally, Harris has the Obama’s and to a lesser degree the Clinton’s, but she is relying on celebrities. Where is Newsom, Pritzger, Shapiro, Buttigieg, Murphy, etc.? Outside of a few one-off’s, they’ve been pretty invisible. I know, Liz Cheney but that’s been recent and short. If Kamala loses Cuban will be the first to jump ship and criticized her. She was bashed from both sides and had a very low approval prior to be ordained by the Dems to run. She will be in a bad spot if she loses, actually this whole election process she’s been in a bad spot. Shoulda, woulda, coulda. People like Cuban and Biden are not doing her any favors making stupid comments. People are tired of folks like Cuban, big mouth does nothing to help. Elon could be in the same spot as Cuban but he’s an agent of change and has agreed to run the Dept. of efficiency. I would not be surprised to actually see that happen. He at least is taking an active role in helping to solve our deficit problem.
Merge I remember you saying for certain it was transitory. Sorry to remind you of your numerous posts back several years ago but you are speaking talking points now, which by the way you do very well. I mean that in a complimentary fashion. Again day one cancelling the Keystone pipeline deal and then approving the Russian pipeline to Germany helped cause inflation. Give Biden some credit for making decisions that help escalate inflation. There’s a reason the wealthy rich and famous are 100% democratic. I do agree with you it could have been worse, but was the 1.7 inflation reduction act really necessary. What is the plan now to offset what was done. No plans to cut only spend. The days of Bill Clinton are over, new Dems are for crash and burn policies.Sitting today at a point where rages outpaced inflation, unemployment is at historic lows, the stock market is at record highs etc... The economy has been managed quite well over the last 4 years given we had to deal with coming out of the worst pandemic of any of our lives, and a war in Ukraine which caused a global supply shock in energy and food prices.
The problem is that you want someone to blame rather than understanding the environment and considering alternatives.
Inflation was going to occur over the last 4 years no matter who was president.
You have to consider what would have happened had we not propped up the economy during the pandemic. Employment would have been worse, wages would have been worse, the markets would have been worse. etc... but the price of eggs would have been lower so that's good?
No amount of tempoorizing or moralizing can blame trump for the 20% rise in prices under Biden.I think Mark should lower himself and debate Kayleigh McEnany a Harvard law graduate I know he considers her dumb but I think she would clean his clock.Come on Mark man up.

The only people who can't see it are the ones who don't want to.Yes, the answer might be easy, but those in power with money (politicians, MSM, wealthy that are using the system , etc.) continue to manipulate the masses.
We can debate his popularity, but IMO there is a large segment of the population that still see Trump as an outsider and a chance for the system to change. They see that group of stakeholders of the current system as not caring about them.
Until we address this, we will continue to have elections like this.
