SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – (November 20, 2024) Seton Hall Athletics and Learfield, the media and technology company powering college athletics, have agreed to a multi-year extension of their longstanding relationship to run through 2036. With this early renewal, Learfield will continue as the multimedia rights holder through Seton Hall Sports Properties, working with the university to deliver innovative solutions in in key areas, including Name, Image, Likeness (NIL), data and digital marketing strategies and enhanced fan engagement platforms.

“Since 2014, our partnership with Learfield has helped us recognize the value of the investments we make in our athletics programs, student-athletes and fans,” said Bryan Felt, Seton Hall Director of Athletics and Recreation. “We reached this agreement together with Seton Hall Sports Properties nearly two years early to set a framework for the future and to continue building on the success we’ve seen in revenue generation, NIL opportunities for our student-athletes, and relationships with our local, regional and national brand partners.”

AGAINST PRINCETON

Princeton is coming off a 25-5 season a year ago, which included a 13-1 mark in Ivy League play. • Seton Hall's 25 wins last season tied for the fourth-most victories in program history and were the most wins for the Pirates since 2015-16 when they also won 25 games.

  • Holloway's teams have finished below .500 in conference play just once in six seasons when his first Saint Peter's team went 6-12.

#15 Marquette beats # 6 Purdue

MU has played the toughest non conf schedule so far and have been outstanding. Still early but I could see them winning the BE regular season title. But a long way to go. Will start learning a lot about UCONN, Creighton, and St John’s over the next 10 days.
Creighton and Uconn haven't played anyone yet. St john's already has a convincing W over New Mexico which is a good OOC win. Xavier has a convincing W over Wake who was picked preseason 3rd in the ACC.

Will A Reduced Federal Government Employment Impact Services

Just taking the Department of Education alone - $238 billion budget and 4, 400 employees - mostly student loan management (which has been a disaster with defaults and forgiveness). This can be outsourced and can't be run any worse.
Well, many student loan services have been outsourced for a while already.

I can tell you, after personally dealing with years of incompetence from both FedLoan Servicing and MOHELA, that it hasn't necessarily made anything better or more efficient.

Will A Reduced Federal Government Employment Impact Services

There are currently about 3 million federal employees if Elon and Vivek cut 5-10 % will services be noticeably impacted ? With their ability to automate services I doubt it.
Having read the Musk biography, there are a lot of his disciples that understand the Musk "algorithm" and way he goes about leaning out an organization. I can see teams of people led by some of his trusted leaders going into an agency, looking at processes, job responsibilities, automation opportunities, redundancies, etc., and identifying the waste. You would hope there are a group of people in those agencies that have been frustrated with the inefficiencies and would be on board and support the change and be a part of it.

I don't see where Vivek fits in this as he doesn't seem to have any relevant experience, but maybe he's a mouthpiece and a favor Trump is rewarding him.

My guess is 5-10% is a lay-up.

#15 Marquette beats # 6 Purdue

I was too low on Marquette heading into the year. They’re really good.
I've been pegging them in the top 3 with my predictions and outlook, and we all know early season results aren't always indicative of where a team ends up in March. But if Jones is going to be able to play the "facilitator" role as effectively as he did last night, in addition to his scoring-ability (which he has always been able to do at a high level), that's going to make them dangerous with the shooters and athletes Shaka can put around him.

I do wonder if teams with more formidable front lines are going to give them problems certain games in the paint and on the the glass. Because both Gold and Joplin are definitely stretch 4s and 5s as opposed to guys who are going to protect the rim and kill you on the glass. Obviously though Purdue fits the mold of the type of team that can hurt you there and it didn't impact them last night.
