DEI not ok...but this is...what a joke

This is a private firm not the government.I guess your extreme hatred of Trump extends to anyone who he supports
This is of no relation to how I may or may not view 45 or 47...however i am sure there are far more qualified females and minorities for this role than an ex military person who caused the death of someone that was harbored by mental disease or defect who is now a poster child for bro culture and maga enthusiam

Enough is Enough: The Leadership Failures at Seton Hall

SHU does a great job of fund raising as far as I can see. I get many mailings from them asking for donations throughout the year and I do donate every year. I also get thank you letters and receipts for my records! So enough of the BS about the school!

The problem as I see it is I don't always want to direct my yearly contribution to sports and probably others feel the same way. Money is better spent where it should go which is for the school to direct as it sees fit which I hope is for academic endeavors. Afterall the mission of the school is about education and not fielding a semi pro basketball team.

I'm not inclined to have my money go to pay basketball players salaries.

I'm not a millionaire doner but I think those folks have the same thought process. Where is the best place for them to direct their money where it will have the most benefit? A player's NIL payment or the betterment of the school mission? For me it is an easy decision.

Now if there was someone who could do both and wants to do both fine. I'm not sure that is going to happen to save the program the way many of you want.
The caveat though is that a good basketball team puts the school on the map. But I’m with you. I did not have an issue with players making NIL. I was donating and donating often. After all, there isn’t a product without the players. But this pay-for-play BS and the transfer portal turned me off so much that I will not give another dollar. In fact, my season ticket renewal is in jeopardy too. This game is unrecognizable and I’m over it. I’m sure when they send out their annual “too soon” email request offering me a discount to renew early won’t be an issue when I wait and see if we can retain some players that I identify with. I will not watch us turn over our roster from year to year. I’d rather suck and know our players than suck less and turn over our roster every year. Stupid!
