Waiting For UConn To Make A Statement

Old friend - So true about being worse than the score. The Huskies have no speed in skill positions. Looks like they run in quicksand. The quarterback play is awful. Can't throw out patterns with any zip. I'm afraid it is going to be another long season for the Huskies. In fact, I would be a tad worried about Merrimack this week. They played Air Force really tough out in the altitude. Wonder if any of the Big 12 commissioners tuned in. Brett Yormark has a tougher sell after seeing the "promised" improvement.
It was an ugly showing. That said, wide receiver Skyler Bell was able to get separation and break away for chunk plays. It's promising.

Agree that a loss or a close game to Merrimack would be a bad thing. Probably too soon too cancel the season based upon one game though.

Harris

Are you really doing these false equivalencies? The bail fund was for misdemeanor offenses. I am not saying that was the smartest thing for Harris to have done but the intention was not for serious crimes like arson, burglary aggravated assaults. Moreover, bail funds get you out of jail pending of trial. Not to absolve you of a crime.

Unlike Jan 6 convicts who not only committed felonies and were convicted of crimes like assaulting police, they tried to overthrow the rightfully elected President. Pardons are to wipe away a conviction. One thing does not equal another.
Oh you know everyone's intentions. Great. Even the most liberal outlets talk about the Minnesota Freedom Fund bailing out Jaleel Stallings who was charged with attempted murder, plus they bailed out a woman accused of killing a friend and also a convicted rapist.

Oh, it was worse than the score.

Maryland is our most difficult game of the season. Hopefully we can improve on that showing.

Harris

He promises to pardon, while the other encouraged American to bail out rioters who destroyed tons of property. Great choice. It's ok to destroy your cities, you're a hero we will help you. Destroy where I work you're a criminal and shouldn't be bailed out or pardoned.

And after January 6 how did they stop people from entering the Capitol illegally....they put up a large fence after telling us for months walls are inhumane. You can't make this stuff up.

TOURNAMENT LEADER BOARDS
THE COURSE:
Named for the ancestral home of the Colgate family, Seven Oaks Golf Club is nestled on the Colgate University Campus at the upper end of the Chenango Valley, in Hamilton, New York. In 1934, a young architect by the name of Robert Trent Jones was brought to Hamilton to begin work on designing the course as one of his first projects. Unfortunately, due to the great depression and WWII, the course and his plans were continuously postponed.

Jones was called back many times throughout the following years to redesign the course before a final version was accepted and it was not until 1956 that ground was broken on the first nine holes, officially opening on July 4th, 1958. Construction for the remainder of the course soon began and on September 4th, 1965 the last nine holes were opened for play.

Seven Oaks is characteristic of all Jones' courses, which include strategic deployment of water, along with extensive tee areas and large, expansive greens.

THE FIELD:
In addition to Seton Hall and host Colgate, the field included 13 other schools: Binghamton, Bucknell, Canisius, Cornell, Iona, Lehigh, Le Moyne, Navy, Niagara, Pennsylvania, St. Bonaventure, and Yale. Fellow BIG EAST opponent, Villanova, is also in the field.

THE FORMAT:
Teams played six golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.

UP NEXT:
Seton Hall will return to tournament action next weekend when it plays three rounds of golf at the GolfWeek Fall Challenge in Pawley's Island, S.C.

Waiting For UConn To Make A Statement

Oh please. UCONN is looking for every possible way into a P4 every day of the week. You know it just like everybody else knows it. If you don’t think that wasn’t an overriding issue in the negations, I’m not sure what to say.
The way that broadcast partners deal with that issue is via a composition clause, where the agreement is renegotiated in the event of a change in member composition.

The Hall shuts out Manhattan, 1-0, in a physical, rainy affair at Owen T. Carroll Field.
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Freshman Til Kauschke (Hamburg, Germany) scored the game's lone goal in the 68th minute to lift the Seton Hall men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Manhattan at Owen T. Carroll Field on Sunday.

It was a very physical, somewhat chippy game with the teams needing to be separated on occasion in the second half. After an evenly played first half, the Pirates largely dominated the tempo in the second half.

The Pirates (3-0-0) out-shot the Jaspers, 8-to-6, and had four shots on goal, compared to just one for Manhattan. Junior goalkeeper Matias Molina (Rosario, Argentina) made one save for The Hall to earn the victory

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half featured physical play with teams battling through periods of rain. Seton Hall and Manhattan combined for just five shots, but The Hall had the only shot on goal. Kauschke unleashed a laser that was stopped by Manhattan goalkeeper Ludvig Malberg in the 29th minute.

In the second half, Manhattan appeared to have taken the lead in the 54th minute, but the goal was called off due to offsides, which was upheld by video review. With the game still deadlocked in the 68th minute, Kauschke took a cross pass from Jared Smith (Longmeadow, Mass.) and fired a left-footed rocket into the right side of the goal.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
