Richmond

In the NIT game against St Joe's KR had a bad game but he had a phenomenal defensive steal and save that basically won the game. I doubt no one even noticed.

That's his game in a nutshell. He does so many great things that don't show up on the stat sheet. I've always thought he was under appreciated & evidently so did he after the Creighton game.

OT: Tony Bennett Retiring

Current awful environment clearly drove his decision with the small bonus of setting up his assistant and friend to take over. Classy and very smart guy obviously with a conscience. He will land on his feet.

Remember when Raf did the same thing for Hoddy Mahon. Didn’t work out for Hoddy who was a terrific man and coach but Raf launched his career and is still going strong.
Did it? I actually think Tony Bennett is one of the most respectable guys in the business, but in 2024 you have to wonder is there another Pat Hobbs situation over there or countless other reasons to step down that caused this resignation to happen at this time. I hope you are right for his sake and my own belief that he is a respectable guy, but you never know.

Richmond

Just don't understand the vitriol. Without Richmond this team doesn't win 5 Big East games last year.

Not happy he went to SJU, but if he went there for the reported $1.1M how can you blame him?

Last night against Rutgers

25:37 Minutes
3-10 from the field
0-1 from the arc
3-6 from the line
9 Rebounds
9 points
6 assist
1 turnover
1 steal
+20 (game high for either team)

St John's 91
Rutgers 85
My only issue is that I believe he was negotiating to leave us during last season. To me you just don’t do this. I don’t hate Kadary, I am just disappointed in him.
