People have consistently seen big things in his game. I dont think they were all wrong. I hope he starts showing in games what he has shown to them. I am confused. But hopeful.
What you conveniently leave out is the poor non-conference showing last year. That's why we were a bubble team and on the wrong side of the bubble after the bid thieves finished looting the bubble.I wrote the same exact thing after this season. If 13 wins in the Big East makes you a bubble team we’re screwed. Some years you get left out and then when you do get in you get a terrible draw.
Only way to avoid that is be highly ranked in the pre season and play solid all year. But with NIL will SHU ever be highly ranked in the preseason again?
next up, powerhouse Hofstra--what are the odds that Sanders drops 20+ on us?
Have you seen the way we defend the three? I could easily see him hanging 20 on us.Slim to none.
Minimum wage should be discussed in states where the cost of living is significant and it’s not keeping up. Paid sick leave is not a left leaning policy imo. Both have merit for discussion periodically and should be decided by each state in the republic not the Feds. Still not sure your point as I used the words “maybe” but am all good when states decide their key laws. Republic is the word and people need to understand what it means.Red states missouri and alaska this very week had plurality voting to increase minimum wage and have paid sick leave...those are left leaning ideaologies the last time i checked
So said the Sports Book here. Last time this year I bet on SH. (I never bet against them & still won’t, but if I did $$$$)SJU beat Fordham by 30.This should have been a comfortable 10+ win for SHU.
I have been saying this all year long . We have a big problem scoring .
Anything need fact checking?
Where's a lie?
- felon
- sexually assaulted people,
- talks about using the justice department to go after political enemies,
- has used his office to personally enrich himself and his family to the tune of billions of dollars,
- admires and aspires to be a dictator,
- racistly others minorities,
- etc,
- etc
I won't even enumerate any of the etcs to make it easier on you.
And English just magically let him go out of the goodness of his heart lol, the kid is no good. Let Harmon cook!I'm not sure that is right about what was conveyed to Harmon. My recall of this over the summer was that we had an offer to Harmon "on hold" pending whether we could snag a few better PG options the staff was chasing. We missed on all those kids, and took Harmon. But still didn't stop recruiting, and got Dual. So, I don't think Harmon was promised anything about major minutes.
On the other hand, I have no doubt Dual was told he'd have an opportunity for major minutes with the ball in his hands, because otherwise he wouldn't be here. I know people aren't happy with him through 2 games, but this is a kid who rightly or wrongly is clearly looking to get to the next level as quickly as possible. He even flirted with it this year despite a subpar freshman season at Providence, and he's been on the NBA radar since he blew up his senior year in HS, which is why his recruitment out of HS was so hotly contested between Providence and Gtown (once Cooley left Prov, I believe), and why it was considered a major coup for Kim English to hang onto him out of prep because some thought he'd be following Cooley to DC.

He was definitely told he would play major minutes, and then all the stuff with Dual happened and he was placed on the back burner.
I’m sure Harmon was pissed about it
Seems like Shaheen fell victim to the same thing scouts do. Wanting and then playing players based off their “measurables” rather than talent.Honestly, I have no inside information, but Harmon has the most productive college experience coming here. We watched jay wright use basic things to get shooters open shots and never copied him. Willard didnt. Now sha. Like real basic. Yesterday, how about ball reversal. Not in our vocabulary. Instead those passes at the top of the key that waste 8 seconds and then...Why, unlike on football, do teams not copy what successful teams do?
I get that we don’t have the same talent level as these teams, but why not study tape of UConn, Creighton, the Jay Wright Villanova, etc., to copy what they run on offense. It works!!! They get open looks constantly.
Again, I’m not saying we’d make shots at the same rate as those teams…but at least we’d get good opportunities.
Instead we kill 2/3 of the shot clock out at the logo…that’s…beyond absurd
left leaning and woke are 2 different things last time I checked. Kamala lost 3.4 million votes according to CNN this morning. More people in blue states aren’t happy. States like NJ could really be in play next governor and president race.Red states missouri and alaska this very week had plurality voting to increase minimum wage and have paid sick leave...those are left leaning ideaologies the last time i checked

It’s not a country where just NY and Cali and the MSM determine the way people think. Maybe it was a push back from some of the woke policies and left leaning direction and the salad lady ( a horrible candidate) couldn’t get it done.
