Whoa

GU played well and hard down to the end but it’s just so hard to close out games against good teams in a hostile environment. And MU is an excellent team. A tough loss on the road for GU.
GU made lots of errors. The three in the last minute were not forced by the D. That kid losing his footing at halfcourt, the very obvious movign pick. And the other TO was just as bad as I remember.

I am chuckling to myself, seeing this stuff forgiven but only for a rival. We made one play like that and it was bedlam negativity.

Rutgers could be first team to miss NCAA Tournament despite having two top-five NBA Draft picks

Also mentions the '52/'53 SHU team which had Walter Dukes and Richie Regan. as having gone 31-2 and went to the NIT; the context it fails to put that in is, back then the NIT was the bigger tournament...and "Eastern" schools generally went to the NIT if they were good; similar scenario for the Western Kentucky team of '53/'54, which they also reference.

So it wasn't so much they didn't make the NCAA....they probably wanted to go to the NIT.

Then again....I wasn't around to read about it...lol

From day 1 of this P4P era, I've said that the sport is doomed unless somebody has the balls to say "That's IT, no more". But I can't see it happening. The vast majority of these kids can give a rat's ass about the school, coach, team and fans, it's all about the quick money. It will be very interesting when these kids run out of eligibility and suddenly the gravy train ride is over. Hope they can say "would you like fries with that?"
guess you can tell where I stand --what we have is not NIL in any way, shape or form

MSM has only themselves to blame for decline and consumer shift. So now Musk, Zuckerberg and now Bezos now opting for open platforms because of the loss in trust of the MSM. Let’s face it, vast majority of public doesn’t want the platform to be the arbiter of truth.
