The problem with your act is at SHU to MAKE the tournament you must have a good/very good season. Meaning: playing and winning meaningful games for 4 months. SPU won a crapshoot tournament to get in (BTW they also had a late regular season meltdown for all the guys who are into that here). The SHU bar is actually set medium high in that regard. We played big games (and won our fair share) over the past 8 seasons. There is zero evidence SHA (or anyone that replaced KW) can do that here. This job is almost impossible and KW had a very good run here.yea the bar at shu is at the floor
is the shu job more impossible than SPU?The problem with your act is at SHU to MAKE the tournament you must have a good/very good season. Meaning: playing and winning meaningful games for 4 months. Can Sha do better, of course he can, but to dismiss the past is foolish.
Also, I read here countless times how recruiting was going to take off and Sha was so hot....
Sha was the absolute best hire we could have made and we have to hope it works out.
Sidenote: when will the "big fish" come to steal Sha away? Season starts pretty soon, they ight want to work on that.
No it’s not. But it’s different. I respect what Willard did here very much. I think that Sha will do better. But we don’t know yet.is the shu job more impossible than SPU?
The road side is littered with coaches who had a strong March run and never came close to doing so again. What Sha did last year was great. But that means nothing here. The problem with your act is at SHU to MAKE the tournament you must have a good/very good season. Meaning: playing and winning meaningful games for 4 months. in some ways..yea it is
Yes, yes, yes.Do people do realize that in 2020 the entire athletic budget for St. Peter’s was $7.2 mm
in 2022 the Men’s basketball team spent $1.6 mm.
but Seton Hall is a tougher job because we have expectations to win. 😂
Sha took a job that could have been a coaching graveyard as his first HC opportunity. Normally if you don’t find success at stop 1 there isn’t the chance for upward movement. So with essentially zero financial resources he found a way to make a nobody into a winner. Doesn’t matter that he went to the elite 8. He took a program that was 152- 225 in 12 years under John Dunne, and over his final 3 seasons (only coached 4) there went 54-32.
Stop making excuses for Seton Hall. Sha thinks big. Think big along with him.
That all means next to nothing when you are home by Saturday every single year. At some point, you have to capitalize on those appearances or you're nothing more than the 16 seeds that are happy just to be there before getting smoked and going home.Let's see if Holloway can make more NCAA tournament appearances than Willard at the Hall! We just have to wait and see!
Come on seton hall faithful! We need to sell out opening night! I don't want to hear the same story of people being told to sit down during the game! I was yelled at a few years back by a pirate fan for standing during the game.
I don’t know what your source is for how much SH spent on basketball because the Annual Report required under the The Equity In Athletics Act filed with the Education Dept shows that in its most recent report SH spent $6,431,722 on men’s basketball.Do people realize that in 2020 the entire athletic budget for St. Peter’s was $7.2 mm?

The fact that you read my response and believe I meant Seton Hall Men’s basketball spent only $1.6 mm in 2022 is comical. We all know our head coach alone made more than that in his salary.I don’t know what your source is for how much SH spent on basketball because the Annual Report required under the The Equity In Athletics Act filed with the Education Dept shows that in its most recent report SH spent $6,431,722 on men’s basketball.
