Godless society. I doubt this dude was celebrating Easter yesterday, Passover last week, or Ramadan the last few weeks and putting this plan together. Creation of Godless society that thinks ME > WE.
There are thousands of products that cause sickness and death. We don't get rid of them. People need to be responsible. You get rid of guns, knives will be out there next and stabbings will be up.

How many of these products that you speak of whose purpose is to actually cause death? I bet none.
You can't come in and just kill mass amounts of people with a knife nor can you kill them from a distance. It is so much more difficult to kill people with a knife than a gun. This is not a legitimate argument.
The stats don’t lie, when the assault weapons ban was in place, mass gun shooting deaths went down. That’s a start. But that is not the end of what can be done to gun violence.
And we can do this same argument over and over again. Track and register every gun with ballistics Information in a database. But no political will from the R's to ever do anything with regard to guns. Just have the same lame arguments. Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Give me a break.
Tell me the purposes of fentanyl and refined cocain powder. I can keep going but you can twist the purpose of anything. Just like anything I can say the purpose of my gun is to protect not to cause death.
What are you doing to stop pipe bombs after assalt weapons are gone. People who want to do a mass killing will do so with or without assault weapons.

Those things are illegal. Pipe bombs, well you are right. People could start using bombs but guess what. They are difficult to make and makes sometimes blow themselves up. Can we agree that it is much easier to kill people with an AR than with a pipe bomb or any other alternative. So why not make it more difficult? Why do we have to allow the sale of these weapons to make killing any easier.
Sure we can agree. But can't we also agree if we had more God and faith in society we would have less killings, less crime, etc

You need 60 votes in the Senate. They passed it in the House.
You have about 98% opposition from one side and 5% opposition from the other and you're acting like both sides are preventing this from moving forward.
If republicans were even split 80-20 with 80% against it, we would have legislation passed by now. A bit disingenuous to suggest it's both sides blocking it.

Obesity rates, divorce rates, infertility rates, anxiety depression rates are all skyrocketing. In the last 50 years we have slowly eroded God from our society with the silly premise we can make our own rules and do a better job.
Now we have drag shows for little kids and have a non 0% of society thinking there are more than 2 sexes.
My secular conservative friends are just as lost as my liberal friends. Praise God I am in my twenties and I see how sick society is. We all need Jesus, but agree that society would be way better off with more religious people overall. Even ancient societies with pagan gods were successful, there is virtually no successful atheistic society. Man needs to follow natural law or rules bestowed upon them. If not, chaos will always reign.
E Michael Jones is a fantastic read on this topic but his outlook for the United States is more than sobering. Believes the rubicon line is probably crossed already.

What God are you talking about? Religion kills a lot of people. Shall we begin with AlQaeda and ISIS. I am sure those members were celebrating Ramadan. Countless of wars were fought in the name of religion. Perhaps you were just talking about good ole American Christian religion. Jim Jones at Jonestown and David Koresh?
Ethics and morality are a good thing to have in society. But so many people get twisted and become fanatical with religion. Plus, our own Catholic religion preyed upon young innocent victims while the leaders of the Church turned a blind eye to the abuse of so many children.
I am all for someone having faith. But all religion is man made. All full of faults contradictions and lies.

Religious leaders are not God whether they are priests, ISIS leaders, etc. Follow the Bible. Funny you talk about Ramadan. I was just in an uber a couple weeks ago with a Muslim who was explaining to me if you read the twists that have been put on the Quran you will be radicalized in minutes. If you follow the true Muslim faith, you'll find a loving, humble community. He was explaining to me how they look up to Jesus as a healer. You just want to muddy the waters with God and the imprerfections of religions for centuries. But God is and will remain undefeated.
I have no problem with what you wrote. I wish more people thought of it that way. Instead it is organized religion that actually corrupts God.
I've never once mentioned religion. I have my beliefs on getting together with a community of believers and being a support system for each other as we will all fall down on our journey. Some people need that, others may not, but the word of God in our lives weekly would be good for society.
How about those that are not religious or dont believe in a god that are peace folks?
Give me a village with family, community and faith…and pretty sure your issues will be few.

yea that was such an idiotic comment. "stabbings will be up" great, sounds better than people being mowed down. the worst event, vegas shooter killed a ton of people from his balcony. whats he doing with a knife? guns are the problem.
He's not really saying that people who don't believe in God are all bad people. He's saying that if we were more connected to God as we used to be, that we would better off overall.
That's not unreasonable.
More of a philosophical debate about where people find there sense of purpose, connection and community.
That can certainly happen away from God but it's hard to argue that we've moved away from the connection and community parts as a society as we became less religious, and that has not really been a good thing.
