Statistically speaking from KenPom the Final Four has 4 of the best 7 teams ever. Talk about getting top heavy very quickly we are already in the era where maybe 30-40 programs have a chance to win it all every year and that might be too many. It looks like college football where realistically 20 teams could win the title every year.
Another thing to consider is that as the rich got richer the poor got poorer so the differential between the two is just the greatest of all-time. Not necessarily that these are the best teams of all time.
