Fatalities is irrelevant on a college campus...its the likelyhood of transmission that is more concerningHow many were hospitalized or died?
What percentage of the overall UNC is 135?
What was the capacity of the quarantine rooms?
Concerning perhaps but surprising? No, not at all. Totally disagree that fatalities are irrelevant -Fatalities is relevant for many reasons including if one of these young adults is your kid. We need to know about the severity of symptoms. These and other related questions are important and take the next step after we seemingly (at least in large part) fixed problem one, which was lack of testing.Fatalities is irrelevant on a college campus...its the likelyhood of transmission that is more concerning
Would you say fatalities on a college campus are irrelevant if 135 died? Fatalities are always relevant. Because it doesn't fit your agenda, fatalities are now irrelevant. LOLFatalities is irrelevant on a college campus...its the likelyhood of transmission that is more concerning
I didnt want to diminish fatalities that are covid related. Yes deaths are relevant. Even a death on a campus is one too much. The issue is the student body lack of regard for others on the campus.Would you say fatalities on a college campus are irrelevant if 135 died? Fatalities are always relevant. Fake news from shu09, dude been spreading fake news for 5 monthsIt's a virus. Viruses spread regardless of what we do. People are not actively spreading it to others because they want to or because they have "lack of regard." Stop the virtue signaling.

If you look at the original post the so-called journalist with the article classifies the data as "horrifying".
That alone tells you that the article has an agenda and the agenda is not to inform people.
I'm always cautious when I see too many strong adjectives in any kind of report.

Nobody knows. Can we continue to shut things down until we know? Maybe. But we won’t regardless of whether we should because this has become political. SADAgreed. I don't really see it as horrifying. As long as they are isolating from the general public, this might be the ideal situation if none of them get really sick.
Dorm living is going to cause the virus to spread. That is a given. They key is to only let it spread to those with little risk.
One caveat there for me is that some reports keep popping up about the long term effects of the virus. I have no idea of the validity of those claims.
